Hi, I don't usually post here as I hate housework but I've got a brand new stainless steel gas hob and I'd really like to keep it looking new and clean and shiny. But when I clean it it goes all smeary. Any tips?

my mums got a ss hob and she uses baby oil with cotton wool.it looks new and its years old

I'll have to try that too. I have a ss hob and have tried many of the so called ss hob cleaners which still leave it looking smeary (maybe thats just me not using it properly though)
