I've asked about this in another thread, but the question was ignored (why do the mods do that?!), so I thought I'd ask in a thread devoted to the subject and see if I have more luck.
Will BATTLE FOR HADITHA be repeated anytime soon on Film 4, or any other Channel 4 station? And will it be framed correctly at the original 2.35:1, just like the DVD version?
I don't want to appear rude, but is there any chance of an answer to this question, even if it's just to say: "We don't know when the next broadcast is scheduled
Brilliant. I didn't mean to post that last message (I changed my mind halfway through and decided to wait a few days more), but I pressed the 'Post Now' button and wasn't able to prevent it going through. And because there's no way to edit...
But now that I've made this colossal nit of myself, IS there any chance of an answer to this particular question? I don't know why the mods just keep us hanging-on. I mean, what's the point of a forum like this, if even the simplest question goes unanswered for days on end?...
Apparently we have no plans to repeat it on any of the channels, but it is available free on 4oD for the next 10 days (4oD programmes are available free for 30 days after the original broadcast, which in this case was 17th March)
I'm surprised this one isn't scheduled for repeats anytime soon, since C4 tends to offer several viewings across its range of stations. Must be a contractual thing. No chance of seeing it at the original 2.35:1 ratio, either, unless we invest in the DVD. Oh well.
Thanks for that response. Late, but welcome (as Frankie Howerd used to say!).
