What is the problem with subtitles? For those who need them, watching FilmFour is an absolute nightmare - you can never be sure if you're going to get them or not, as the usual listings rarely mention it. You would have to consult the website every night, which is a pain. We recorded Three Days of the Condor the other night and were looking forward to it, only to be presented first with some posturing inaudible oaf in a red suit, and then - no subtitles. I find it shocking that you still disregard the hard of hearing like this. And don't give me the 'oh, we do lots of audio description and other sops to the disabled' line. Subtitles are not difficult - the main channels manage them nearly all the time now, and they are an option on most DVDs. Why do you persist in this distressing attitude?
