Will you be showing any directors' cuts or extended editions of films? I would especially like to see the extended versions of Battle Royale and Battle Royale II.
I second that request, especially the first BATTLE ROYALE. I saw it on Channel 4 and thought it was absolutely magnificent, enough for me to invest in Tartan's UK DVD featuring the extended cut. The longer version adds a tremendously humane punch to this ultra-violent thriller, making it alternately heartbreaking and visceral. In other words, splatter with a conscience. I didn't care much for BATTLE ROYALE II: REQUIEM, though if C4 or Film 4 were to screen the director's cut, I'd definitely give it a second chance.
Some Person, if you liked BR1, I'd urge you to buy a copy of the director's cut DVD, regardless of whether it's going to appear on TV (or not). Tremendous stuff, with an ear-splitting 5.1 soundtrack!!
