My service is provided by Telewest/NTL and each time I check for Film 4 on the screen menu I receive a pop-up stating that the channel is temporarily unavailable. Yet this status has persisted since Film 4 converted to free screening. The same block appears on Film 4 + 1.
When 'phoning Telewest about this I get Telewest's usual hold messages followed by someone who puts me through to someone else and so it goes until I'm told that someone will call me back...and never does.
I'm wondering if anyone else views Film 4 via a Telewest/NTL subscription.

Thanks in advance.
I do.
Welcome to the Cirque De Telewest. Enjoy the show... just make sure you have plenty of valium to maintain your sanity.
Digital TV (whether cable, satellite or Freeview) is rubbish. Everything is so pixellated, poorly gradated and lacking in quality - especially when there is fast moving action and low light scenes.
How dare the providers all say it's better than analogue. Though they'd argue that we should upgrade to HD for better quality.
----------------------- 'Titanic' review : I thought it faintly ridiculous the old lady viewing the wreck chucked that necklace into the water... I mean, she could've raised a fortune for the RNLI with that.
SD Digital is absolutly terrible, analogue SD easily beats digital SD.
The reason for this is broadcasters have gone for quantity over quality, so digital channels are broadcast at very low bitrates and often low resolution.
SD digital is poorer than SD analogue, but it doesn't have to be like this.
Maybe SD digital is now being made even more poor to encourage people to spend again and get HD to make the pictures look slightly better than analogue SD.
