Neither Merci nor Tea is scheduled at present but, as always, more precise details to follow when they are available. In response to an earlier post,we no longer have rights to the two Paradise Lost documentaries, but they are films we would be interested in renewing - we will let you know if that happens. Many thanks
I agree with many of the comments on this forum that Filmfour seems to have lost ground to competitors on world cinema. For what its worth I would like to see comprehensive series of films from different countries e.g. Russia (films like SER, Russian Ark)

Season of new italian films would be most welcome. These seem to do the round of festivals but are rarely screened on TV. A golden opportunity.

Any chance of FilmFour showing Aussie classic 'The Club' in the coming months? Maybe as a double bill with 'The Castle'...

Films I'd like to see again:
Elektra Glide in Blue Unbelievable Truth Amateur Loved Up (BBC I think)
Many thanks for your posts - unfortunately we no longer have rights to The Club. The Castle is not a title we currently have in stock, but thank you for the suggestion, as we do have the director's The Dish. We will be showing Electra Glide In Blue in the future, and Amateur also - however, our rights have expired for The Unbelievable Truth. Loved Up is, as you rightly say, a BBC film.
Is it not possible for Film 4 to get rights to BBC films?

FilmFour shows Ratcatcher and I'm pretty sure that's a BBC Films co-production.
(And Amateur... Hmmm, I've been wanting to see that again for ages. Dammit FF, I'm supposed to be boycotting you. Would you please stop waving all this temptation in front of me?)
We have purchased films from the BBC in the past, including Ratcatcher. Loved Up is not one that has previously been available to us, but if anything changes, we will certainly let you know. Thank you as always for letting us know what you want to see.
You're right, Rocket, but I want to come back to an idealised FilmFour that is somewhat different to the actual one. Ok, there are some good films coming up, but the lack of quality films wasn't the only reason I left. It was all those Really Annoying Things which I'm yet to be convinced are gonna change: picture quality (though FF said they look into all such complaints so I'd hold them to that), the delay between premieres on FFWeekly and the main channel (keeping my eye on that one) and the voiceovers across the end titles (can't see that changing). If I came back I'd start getting angry again and then I'd unsubscribe all over again and then FilmFour Channel would post up some more forthcoming films that I want to see and then I'd have to think of another Dr Boto-themed name and start posting on this forum all over again and then I'd resubscribe but nothing will have changed and so I'd start getting angry again and then I'd unsubscribe all over again and then...
I totally agree with you mate. FilmFour does have some serious issues to sort out first before I would consider resubscribing. I'll admit a part of me still cares for the channel. I have been monitoring the 28 days listings and in all fairness there is some films i would like to watch. But one thing I really hate is that you have to stay up all hours in the morning to watch the foreign language films which would have been broadcasted on FilmFour World. I am still actually praying after all this time that you will see the light and bring back World and Extreme. Somehow after they went the channel just wasn't the same anymore. Anyway FilmFour some big improvments must be made the channel!
