MoonThere have been some great films recently on FilmFour, especially "Switchblade Romance". Are there any plans to show "Leningrad Cowboys Go America" in the near future?

Hi FilmFour
Will you be showing the new Gaelle Denis' short film After The Rain? I missed its screening as a part of Cinema Extreme at Bristol Short Film Festival, and I'm hoping you will show it since FilmFour has the distribution rights. thanks.

Please please please show Ken Russell's Savage Messiah.
This is the only reason why I have registered to Channel 4 - to request Ken Russell's Savage Messiah to be shown!
I have only seen this delight once when I was in Lithuania last summer - I was watching the only english film channel projecting at the time TCM, and they showed this wonderful film. However, I have not been able to get hold of it, after 5 months of trying! It is not released on DVD and the VCR is too rare to find.
I was delighted to find that Ken Russell was appearing on BB, as it meant that I might hear a personal insight to his own films.
Please please show this film. I have been desperate to see it again, so FilmFour really is my greatest hope right now!!

Thank you!

Any chance of showing some more Billy Wilder? Loved Double indemnity and Some Like it hot is always worth watching. How about sunset blvd or ace in the hole as these have been on f4 before it was on freeview. Especially love to see ace in the hole as its not on DVD. Cheers. Keep up the good work.

Some Greta Garbo films, is it possible for film four to show movies that haven't been realesed on DVD because I would love to see Two Faced Woman Garbo's last film.

Great Garbo films that should be on film four:
Grand Hotel
Queen Christina
Camille
Flesh and the Devil
Anna Karenina

Other films that should be on not Garbo ones:
What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?
Rain (1932 version)
Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte
Destry Rides Again

When are you going to show Good & Bad at Games again?

I've only seen it once, (when it first aired) - it's a Brit classic, with one of the best soundtracks....ever.

Come on you know it deserves a dusting down.

Does anyone happen to know what the music used at the very start of the current 'February' Film 4 trailer ad? It's a lovely jazz track, which features some Nina Simone-esque piano.

Cheers

Many thanks for your post - we think this is the music you mean:
Music Title: Up Above The Rock
Performer: Ray Bryant
Hope that is the right one - let us know if not.

Hi Filmfour!
Glad to see Andrej Wajda's 'Kanal' coming up this week, but firstly why soooo late? and secondly, how about the other 2 films in the trilogy?

I used to subscibe to Filmfour on digital terrestrial, and the films shown were far less repeated it seems then, and there was a better variety of European film, can you bring that back a bit eh? There are so many great films that never get an airing, I think Filmfour is the ideal place for them.

Ah go on, you know you want to...

Arrrghhhh! I have to work!!! Guess I'll get some tapes tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know though, I wasn't thorough in my scanning the schedules. It's been years since I've seen these films (and wrote essays on them at uni). You are my new best friend!

Please, please with Film 4 show Celine and Julie go Boating again soon? Unfortunately, although I made a gallant effort to stay awake last time it was screened (end of December, I seem to recall), I feel asleep about 20 minutes before the end.

It's a fantastic film and I would love the chance to see it once more and get to the end.

thank you!
