I agree with most of you guys about the way Film4 has fallen into the Sky trap, but what really bugs me is the time slot allocated to the truly worthy films they occasionally show. Why are the good films always on after 11pm? Who are they targeting because I, like most of us here, have to get up for work in the morning and I don't have the technology to record anything with.

Does Film4 have any plans to show the film 'Hero' in the near future? The film was released in 1982 and is about a young community in Drumchapel, Glasgow. It is one of the films listed in Film4s 50 Films you must see before you die.

Thanks for that Oddward. Bit confusing on the website when you click on Hero to read the synopsis it says it's about young community in Drumchapel.

I was kind of thinking it would be the Chinese film just an error on the website.

Any chance of "The Last Summer" (1969 (Catherine Burns, Barbara Hershey, Bruce Davison, Richard Thomas)) being shown anytime soon? I'd buy it on DVD, but, it's not available, and I can only find NTSC copies on VHS.

have you attempted to go to settings on the menu and installation? Sometimes you have to adjust for new channels and install again... see if that helps.

I'd like to see Romper Stomper with Russell Crowe on Film 4 some time. It was shown once on Channel 4 several years ago and I missed it. Any chance of a screening?

Is there any chance of showing Sons (1989)
starring Jennifer Beals, or can someone let me know where I can buy it from.
I have searched everywhere but can't find it.

I watched The Italian Job on 24 March.I was enjoying it until about 5 mins. from the end.

What did film 4 do,they reduced the screen size because of a advertisement for something that could be seen in the future & talked over the film soundtrack thus making it impossible to hear.

Brilliant idea !!

Some of us like to see & hear a film till ' THE END ',also sometimes the credits.

Many apologies for this - it was a technical error and shouldn't have happened.

Many thanks for your post - there are two pieces of music, one by UNKLE and the other by Tricky - is either of those the one you are thinking of?

Saw the may previews, could you confirm that you are showing the Directors Cut of Kingdom of Heaven? I believe it was the theatrical cut which was shown on Channel 4 a couple of months back.
