We will certainly be showing the 4 Tarkovsky's - Mirror, Stalker, Ivan's Childhood and Solaris -again before the end of the year. We will post more exact details once they are scheduled.
Please show 'An Awfully Big Adventure', could you show it at around 11.00pm as well so that I can actually watch it. You'd be doing me a big favor if you could.
I'm wanna marry Bobby Peru-Does that make me a bad person?
dcosgrave & danbrusca - well said folks that is exactly what i think - people are papering over the cracks here but the fact is this channel has gone to absolute pot and is one of the great tragedies of recent times... the list of t.v channels i enjoy is getting smaller and smaller, and my depression gets deeper and deeper.... all we want is a channel where we can watch peoper films without having to stay up til 3.30 a.m for the pleasure... i feel raped, and i hope filmfour go under...

how about, to compensate slightly for getting rid of the reason i got filmfour (world and extreme), the channel starts from 4 instead of 6? i used to always watch the 4 o'clock film on world.
and please, please, PLEASE get rid of weekly??!?!?! more choice my ass. half the films, the same price - woo hoo! thankyou
Why has terrestrial tv NEVER shown a movie called BUCKAROO BANZAI ??? It is a classic cult movie and SHOULD be shown a s a p. It starred Peter Weller, Jeff Goldblum, Ellen Barkin, John Lithgow and several other good actors. Channel Four would be an ideal station to show this movie. It is great fun for all the family. GO ON DO US ALL A FAVOUR !!
Actually BUCKAROO BANZAI has played on Film Four several times in the past couple of years. I'm quite fond of it myself...
The American DVD is great - lots of cool extras and in-character commentaries. Avoid the bare-bones UK DVD though if you're a hardcore aficianado of this movie...
THANKYOU!!!You are finally showing the fab film "Those glory glory days"on Nov 15.I have been waiting YEARS for this film to be shown again,as you cannot buy it on vhs or dvd. This is a truly wicked film, for any Spurs fans, totally original, imaginative and very very funny!I have told my kids about this film many times and now they will be able to view it for themselves!!!Can't wait!!!
Hi, I'm trying to find out who FRANCIS BRADY is and what he will be in next. I heard him on the radio but missed a lot on what he was saying. going by his voice he is Irish. Please help, everyone is talking about him but nobody knows who he is.
I posted this question a few times in different topics to help solve this riddle faster...
Does anyone know of the availibility of a short made either late sixties or early seventies called 'incident at owl creek'? I saw it tears ago and believe it was the inspiration for Jacobs Ladder and Cold Mountain. Any chance of film4 tracking it down?

Re - last entry. It was actually called Occurence at Owl Creek (1961)
Although it wasn't made for the series, it was once shown as an episode of The Twilight Zone. A few years back it appeared on the Treasures of the Twilight Zone DVD. Difficult to get hold of in this country alas but if you've got a multi-region player, have a look on Amazon for the Region 1 version.
FilmFour cut out last night at a few minutes after midnight and stayed off for several hours. I don't know if this was a fault at source, or maybe just the ntl digital service I get.
It would be so cool if you could put these short films on DVD's. A number of my friends would also purchase. Hey is there any chance? If not where can i get hold of copies? I love 'the duck children'.

I would like to say that I am very dissapointed in what FilmFour has become - I don't like ad breaks in movies, I don't like the schedule finishing earlier (3am instead of 6am) and I don't like FilmFour Weekly being cancelled, because there is now only one film to watch at a time so there's no choice.
I hope somebody will read this as it has completely devastated me. I want my FilmFour back the way it was. Please! I used to love getting into a film and losing myself in the diverse, fascinating, entertaining films and documentaries. FilmFour was one thing I really loved.
Tonight I started watching "Lost in Translation" and was really starting to get into it when my worst fear was realised - adverts, NOOOOOO! Please sort it out. £6 a month is a small price to pay for seeing the films the way the director intended - uninterupted. I won't rest until this problem is fixed. I would be watching a film now but there are no more Films on. Why stop them at 3am? There are 5million people in the U.K who work nights and I for one loved watching film four on my nights off. FilmFour has become another boring film channel.
I hope you don't ruin the one last thing left - the selection of world, extreme and independant films. If film four stops showing these and instead goes for dull hollywood movies and new releases only I will break down and cry.
I can't express how much enjoyment I have had from the one beautiful TV channel. Please don't leave it in ruins. It's not too late.
