I really like the that you sometimes show old classics. My idea is to show them a little earlier than 1am and preferably more at weekends. The British Connection series was very good idea but watching "Football factory" a few times was a little too much. There are dozen of other good films and directors to be seen. The Film4 British connection trailer was bad as well, that was not "the spirit of the nation" shown in those clips! Another thing, why don't do another connections like French or Chinese? Hire a film expert who could shortly tell about films, trends in cinematography or a bit of a history etc.and build some kind of connoisseur's cinema series on your channel. The channel is good, I like it but could be much better. It needs some more fresh ideas.
