lol Mac's gal i did the pritt stick on head thing in a Chemistry lesson just to see if it would work...and it did lol.
Then me and my friend got a bit pritt-stick happy and decided to take all the little posters off the wall (cause we sit next to it) take the blu-tac off them and glue them down.
I wouldn't like to be there when my teacher realises she can't move anyting anymore...but it's ok cause i'm never having Chemistry again!

Me and a friend made a plan for a weekend we were away and did a whole bunch of GW things.
We played spoon of destiny, my friend cartwheeled down the hotel corridor, stuck post its on our heads, played the GW drinking game, played ping pong, my friend jumped and hit his head on a sign, loads more that i can't remember lol.

I ate a daffodil once – I was drunk and it was a dare! I know that has nothing to do with Green Wing but I just wanted to reassure you MeandMac that you’re not alone!! Big Grin

I think I could drink 22 shots of tequilla in one night , it would be long night but I could do it!

ps-dont try this at home kids , drinking is not big or clever Ninja

Ooooh, Tequila! I got very ill once doing Tequila shots and now even the thought of it makes my stomach wrench! – In fact, it may have been the same night I ate the daffodil so that may have had more to do with the dodgy tummy…

All my drunken nights seem to roll into one these days. I just can’t seem to take my alcohol now I've left uni! Frown

I know the feeling Holly , I built up a scary tolorance to booze at art college!
I may have to train a little before the tequila challenge is undertaken...

Yeah I believe you will and I wouldn’t recommend it until after November!! Hehehe! Big Grin

My mate who’s just had a baby went out on the razz for the first time since getting pregnant last week and she was very, very poorly! Her alcohol tolerance is now zilch, but she still had a good night and now she’s back in “sensible mother mode” Wink

I suppose being a cheap drunk has it's advantages though.

Hols - I haven't touched tequila for many years since slamming almost an entire bottle with my (future) husband.

I am now like your friend - a mum with no alcohol tolerance - after all I'm going to have to get up the next day at 7am so it may as well be without a raging hangover!

True, True and you could argue that some of my financial difficulties do stem from frequenting many local hostelries on a Friday and Saturday night (that’s what my boyfriend and my mother tell me…) Ah well, I’m just trying to prolong growing up as long as possible… Frown

Just in regard to TV adaptations… Generally I think the BBC do better than the other channels and I loved P&P (and not just for Colin Firth’s wet shirt!). I like Dicken’s adaptations because sometimes I find his books too heavy-going to read but I love his characterisation. I do know what you mean though about some adaptations exploiting the characters and depicting them differently from the original books. That really bugs me!

Worse still is when they change the endings – I’m thinking Great Expectations that was on a few years ago… I was outraged!! Mad

I thought the adaptation of 'Man and Boy' by Tony parsons was rubbish , I cant remember exactly why but I'm sure they changed something big from the book.

Doesn’t that just really p*ss you off when they do that?? American movie-makers are famous for it! Problem is, when a character is immortalised through fiction, it’s sometimes difficult to bring them to life in film. Whenever I read a book I form my own opinion on exactly how the character should be so it’s difficult to accept when you experience something that conflicts this.

I loved the BBC adaptation of P&P – the actors portrayed their characters just how I would wish. However have you seen the recent film?? It was shocking! I don’t think any of the characters came across well in that, not even Keira Knightley!
