It makes perfect sense! And, rather worryingly, I actually did dream about Green Wing when I finally got to sleep.
"Oh my crikey! I've sat on her to death."

Bit late but never mind. I thought that was as funny and as surreal as ever. Cello, I liked the invisible string bit as well...something to try on Monday morning. The Nick Frost bit was really good too, but Alan is still my favourite and the table tennis was my personal highlight. Pash, who is Caitlin Moran?

Does that make any sense?
Completely. Funny how GW affects us, i was singing along to some random song of some random CD albumn of mine and i broke into that flemmy accent Guy had when disguised! I thought to myself, yep GW still definetly playing in my mind! Made singing the song in *that* accent funny though.
""And they swam and they swam right into my dam..." - Sue, Green Wing, series 2 - episode 1.

At the latest count I have now converted eight (count 'em) people to watching GW. Hurrah!

Lol – no don’t do that, its more fun being a part of a select fan cult. If everyone likes it then it becomes common, cheap and almost degrading. **Cough! Little Britain!** Genius of a 1st Episode though, I counted more laughs ‘per hour’ on this epi than most of the episodes on the last series [and its given me a new signature quote, hooray!] – its great to have ‘Mac’s Team’ back with style! The only 'downer' for me was the Mac & Caroline romance snag. I hope she manages to slap some sense back into his jaded memory - I dont think I can stand another 'Emmy' apperance...

i really enjoyed the new episonde, but I don't think it was as good as the first series (please don't hit me). I think it started quite badly but it got better as the episode went on. Does anyone agree or am I alone on this one? Don't get me wrong though, I'm really glad to have GW back. Oh, and I think the Mac/Caroline thing was pure genius! Now we can look forward to watching Caroline trying to pull Mac again, which is bound to be hilarious. It has to be. YAY!!!

You aren't alone. I was quite worried by the first half ( pace any writery types that might be reading), and at times I thought "oh no, they've really lost it". But the second half was pure, rolling-on-the-floor comedy genius, and by the end I was jumping up and down and squeaking dementedly. I think a lot of us were quite relieved.

Yes, I thought both Steve Mangan and Karl Theobald were a bit 'rusty' on their respecive characters personas in the first half. Steve in particular seemed to have lost that arrogant, out spoken, somewhat loud delivery to Guy's lines. And Martin was a bit too jolly and confident on a couple of scenes - notably the end of the 'pastafarien' secene with Guy. They both seemed to get back into their grooves well enough by the second half - which was great to watch!

Only just got to watch the episode so have just been catching up with the hysteria. Thought it took a little while to get going, although i loved the very first arrival scene. I really liked the bits with the office girls, which were never my favourite in the first year. Alan seemed a bit different but i can't quite decide why?! Was so glad when Mac woke up just because i think him and Guy work so well together we needed him awake! Overall great stuff, can't wait for next week now

From the Times. Didn't she used to write for the NME?

Thanks Smoo and Roq. Although you have just outed me as someone who doesn't read The Times and was never cool enough to read NME...(like that's what people thought).

Scotsman 1 Times 0, I think.
"I've just eaten Karen's phone"

Nobody else has mentioned this yet but isn't Harriet's pregnancy rather advanced? How long was Mac supposed to be in that coma?

I suppose it depends how far along she was when she found out! Or maybe its triplets

I found the turkey baster scene a bit much, (I had just eaten!!) But I have to admit, Sue's got great legs!! And Mr J was well pleased to see Angela back, and just as ghastly as ever. Loved the Take That scene, JRT's quite a mover, it has to be said. Oh My God, it's all brilliant!!!!! (shuffles off for a bit of a lie-down)

Oooh I'm glad someone else thought that - she had just found out she was pregnant and this is 8 weeks later...

I wondered about Harriet too. Perhaps she was already quite far along when she found out. She is quite scatty, remember! It'd be awful if it really was triplets like Jim said. She'd probably bring them all into work!

I'd love to know who thought up the costume scene - WTF was that about?! Alan's slowly losing it too...in fact the only thing that made any sense was caroline's declaration of love
"My father had a profound influence on me. He was a lunatic" *Meet the new boss...Same as the old boss*

Ohhh, finally got to watch it on the repeat last night It was a loooooong day waiting! Verdict - *thud* EXCELLENT and puts any niggling concerns right out of the window! Would like to hear Mac's version of events leading up to the coma and I have my suspicions we may find out it was something Guy did (apart from sleeping with his mother and stealing an ambulance!) that put him under for 8 weeks. Boycie and Statham were as superb as ever, and I have SUCH respect for the way the whole cast stays deadpan in situations like that! The pointer in the neck - he barely flinched! Having listened to a couple of cast commentaries (not really spoilers, don't worry) they do make a point of how much is improvised and that gave me another level of admiration watching this episode! Need to watch it again to pick my favourite bit, I was a bit pished and too happy to be watching to decide! Angela didn't do much, as I recall, but the office girls were great, especially Harriet - advanced pregnancy issues aside, she's just hilarious. Am going to tape tonight's repeat on More4 and watch it a few more times this week I hope they don't take so long to bring out the DVD of this series! In short - Ahhhhhhh, GW is back and all's well with the world!

it wasn't even emmy that he thought was his girlfriend - he thought he was going out with holly and that caroline was the 'new girl'.
