I think it's run its delightful, frustrating, hysteria-inducing, career-defining, bonkers course. And I think you'll find if you look very carefully that I'm right about that.
I agree, i think another series would be great if mac is actually fine and it can right itself and un-confuse us all, and make us laugh once more, but if they're determined to kill off mac then they can stop right there!
like i have said all along, i think we have to watch till the xmas special before we think about a series 3, things might all work out for the best, i mean it is at xmas, who would make people cry at xmas??

Why a four year old child could understand this. Run out and get me a four year old child, I can't make head or tail out of it.

I think i agree, Pash. As much as i love Green Wing, and would love it to continue forever, i'd much rather it end now that it become boring, unfunny and stale.
I think a great christmas episode which will answer any unanswered questions and leave us satisfied will be enough. Because once they do that, there's not a whole lot else they can really do with the show, and I wouldn't want it to get stale.
I'd love to see another series. I was a bit sceptical about series 2 to start with but it ended up being better than the first. Hopefully it will do a Red Dwarf and become funnier and funnier in every series.
You shan't.I could.You wouldn't.I would.You wouldn't.I wod.You wodn't.I hod.You hodn't.I nod.You nodn't.I cod.You codn't.I did do.You didn't do.I do.You doodn't, now look away, I'm...You peed.I peedn't.You ped.I pedn't.You pedant?!No... I... you pedant!No.Yes.No, take it back.No, you take it back.No, take it back.No, you take it back.Take it back.
Well, I dunno, it would be pretty hard to follow on from what happened. I mean, what happens after Guy becaomes an honest man? He's just stopped being who he is! And Mac dying? That's just... I dunno, but it sucks. And I expect the van going off a cliff was a joke, since it happened in Series 1.
Hm well after the disappointment of the last episode i'm actually thinking maybe no? I'm not sure where they can go .. they cant have the m/c/g triangle still that'd be oldd
Assuming that Mac is toast... then you do have a major hole in the group dynamic. So it looks like you'll have to bring in a major new character (Simon Pegg/Jessica Stephenson anyone???? )
You're also going to need some way of bringing back some of the characters and 'reseting' them back into the situation
I think it could probably get another series if somehow, magically Mac didnt die. Without him there would be no more arguements with guy, no more pshycotic sue (how would she cope i wonder). But if he does die then no way!

Also Serise Three would depend very much on the outcome of episode nine. As we dont know how that ends it's hard to say but seeing as they commisioned nine episode and they're atlking of tying up loose ends where could they go with it any more? haven't the stories kinda run their course now? Just playing devils advocate here. I'd love another season but i feaer they've done all they can now with Mac/Guy/Caro, Joanna/Statham, Boyce/Statham, Marton/Caro. ANyone got any bright ideas how to revive the series?
"Do you wana come round my gaff tonight?" "Your gaff?" "It's not rude!" "I'm not coming if it's not rude!"
This is my first post but I am an AVID Green Wing fan and have been since the 1st episode. I would like to see the 9th episode at xmas, but I wrekon series 3 would not be as good or perhaps let down the 2 previous series.
I mean, how long does true genius really last for?
I love Green Wing in slightly crazy fashion as shared by most people on this site BUT I don't want another series just for the sake of having another series - maybe some things are supposed to die young in a James Dean fashion. At least then it won't get old and boring
