In the party episode series 1 everyone else dances apart from Mac!

i've noticed that to but i am sure he can dance better than anyone he is just shy is all

loads of people keep saying that he can't dance, but at least we know he does a good imression of a cocktail shaker!

I love SM’s dancing as Guy; it has me in stitches – especially the little shakey-head thing he does in (apparently he learnt it off his sisters when they were kids).

I think JRT mentions in the audio commentary that he can’t dance. Also someone posted something in an earlier thread about the Black Books outtakes when Bill Bailey is dancing around him and he just looks really uncomfortable – like “oh god, does this mean I have to dance now too..?”

Bless him – perhaps its best we don’t see him dance… I might shatter the myth that he’s perfect!!

i agree with you HolsBols - i think its best we dont see him dance. But neither jrt or mac seem the dancing type anyway to me

Yeah i agree. I've always presumed it was his (JRT) protrayal of Mac kicking in. The cool type who doesn't have to dance to impress, they just lean against the wall nonchalently and watch others.

Then again, that's just my presumption as i'm the sort to do that too. Though obviously, i'm far less cool than Mac. Hehe.

I was watching the pilot the other day and at the start you see a clip of JRT with Steve and he's doing the cocktail shaker thing (i assume that what you're talking about) i didnt miss that in an episode did i?

Mac is cool, that’s for sure and definitely feels less of a need to impress unlike Guy and Martin. I think he’s pretty confident with who he is although as we’ve seen being so cool and distant doesn’t always work in his favour!

Ah yes, the pros and cons of being the cool aloof sort. Luckily for him he's so loveable thus instantly forgiven.

forgiven however if he doesnt break the cool barrier around him and tell caroline how he really feels i feel i may end up unable to watch series 2 when i get it on DVD....i'm serious if mac and caroline don't end up together how will i manage to watch the whole series again knowing that caromac is only a dream, existing only in my head

Yes, that i agree with. Mac is going to have to start to chip away at his protection barrier if he wants Caroline. Being from the same aloof type i do see it from Mac's side (using it as a defense mechanism etc) but even i realise that enough is enough and that to progress in the relationship he has to.. let her in.

yea deffo has to let her in. i know holly messed him around, but he KNOWS caro isnt like that, shes stuck with him after all that crap, and all the mean stuff hes done. he needs to open his eyes before its too late! lol

Oh no…don’t say that! It would be a mighty fine shame if things didn’t work out between them but it shouldn’t affect your devotion to the show…

And I’m sure once you’ve got the S2 DVD safely in hand, you won’t be able to resist whatever the consequences of the final episode!!

i know i'll still end up watching it constantly for a month with no interruptions i'm just being bitter i guess. Anyway i'd have to watch it for the randomness of it and to cheer me up- after all its not a love story....well not totally anyway
