So so so hard to choose, some fantastic characters in that line up! Alan Partridge should be numero uno tho - comedy genius !

I voted for the following: Alan Statham Geraldine Granger Hyacinth Bucket Mr Bean Mr Humphreys Pauline Simon Pegg Sue White Victor Meldrew Vicky Pollard
On reflecion I think I should have voted for Jill Tyrell instead of Mr Bean.
I want to vote by email for Joanna - Green Wing Jane and Jeff - Coupling Alice - The Vicar of Dibley

I think Guy did pretty well to sneak in as most of the higher characters had shows dedicated to them. Although I think a lot of the positions were very predictable - Basil Fawty number one for example , I do agree that David Brent and Vicky Pollard deserved to be so near the top. Afterall The office was fanastic and Lucas and Walliams are seriously talented men.

mt top ten would have had the office, green wing [guy, sue and alan] as well as 'just good friends' from the 80s, and certainly someone from only fools... to be honest i found it hard to name characters, as its how they act as a group, in the scene, how they play off one another... i dont think boyce or alan would have been so funny without the chemistry they had.

My top ones would have been, Tim Bisley, Bernard Black, Guy, Sue, Statham, Father Dougal (not in that order necessarily) It wasn't a surprise that Basil Fawlty came top, but it was a shame Guy didn't come higher

If we wanted to, I'm sure we could well bring it here...but I think I'd feel rather guilty!

best not do it here, or we'll wreck one of the few serious threads in existance... back on topic, did anyone from the simpsons or futurama make it into the top 10?
