I think this is what it is called. it stars our lovely Michelle as a bride preparing for her wedding day. its a on off drama i think on channel four 29th march at 10pm and then the dvd is out on the 2nd of april.

this is what it is about:

"Set in present-day Leith, Edinburgh, Wedding Belles centres on the lives of four late twenty-something women. Shauna Macdonald (Spooks, The Descent) plays Rhona, an ex-fashion model, mourning the death of her fiancé.

planning revenge on her fiance’s killer and falling into drug dependency. Shirley Henderson (A Cock and Bull Story, Frozen, Dirty Filthy Love) is Kelly, a woman battling with her demons and managing to upset all those around her.

Kathleen McDermott (Morvern Caller) plays Shaz who works in an old people’s home and takes on her job very seriously – selling black-market Viagra to the residents. Michelle Gomez (Green Wing, The Book Group, Task Force) plays Amanda the bride-to-be and matriarch of the gang.

She’s a successful business woman with her own beauty salon and is due to marry Joshua, an airline pilot with a very dark secret.

The film follows the gang over five days as Amanda prepares for her dream wedding. These four childhood friends have raved, loved and caroused hard and are now ready to tackle adulthood head on.

Michelle Gomez and Shirley Henderson are two of the best british actresses that we have.

And my wee pal from school is in it. He's the joyrider whose flat they burst into to 'take him away'.

This has received an excellent write up in the Radio Times – although it’s not for the faint hearted. Apparently it makes Trainspotting look like child’s play!

Even the trailer is gory. They drag a corpse away by the ice pick jammed under its jaw...

The trailer isn't nice...hmmmmmm...I'm curious now though. Might have to watch it behind the protection of a big cushion! hehe

The language is crass; the humour disturbing; the gore plentiful... Sounds like my kinda show!

Shirley Henderson astounds me – she’s quite simply ageless. I think I read somewhere that the woman’s in her forties and yet, she played and convinced as a school girl in Harry Potter! Amazing – very few actresses (if any) can boast such a range.

Black comedy/drama I think lol - that's how I'm catergorising it anyway!!

absolutley loved this programme.it was supberby acted. michelle was fab (as were the rest of the cast) she had so many sue white moments!

bravo lovely ladies - grim and funny, it doesn't get much better.

I thought it was brilliant!!! Definitely worth the wait and can't wait for my DVD to come through! Michelle was fantastic!!

I think my only objection was that the opening sequence turned out to be a dream of Rhona's and didn't actually happen lol!

I curled up under the quilt during a set of ads and fell asleep in my defence i had swum 2 miles and i'm getting old really annoyed want to know what happened
