c4's giving nothing away about the news series - even its tv ads depict scenes that won't actually be in the show.

but there's clues in the hills. alan yentob's imagine showed a clip last week of a funeral scene. rumours abound that it's tousled bombshell dr mac (julian rhind-tutt)in the coffin, but c4's latest press pics show him alive and still blond.

there is no say so at the moment. some of the acter have got other work on a the moment but no one has said there isnt going to be one so there is still a glimps of hope

Yes they are the original costumes, it's Billy Sneddon one of Green Wing's editors who is selling them for charity. Good for him and I hope they raise a lot of money.

It looks like that article came out before S2 started, so that means they're referring to the teaser ads with the ballet costumes (which weren't in any episodes, as they say) and the matching publicity pictures for S2 - which of course Mac is in as he's been in the series so far. Doesn't make anything certain for the Xmas ep though.

I think he'll be in it, but I don't have anything to back me up, I'm just going by gut instinct.

Has anyone thought that maybe with all the hype about the Christmas episode, which was filmed last year, the writers/producers etc might decide on a new series next year? That would give the actors time to do different things, AND keep us all guessing?

i think they are waiting to see the respond to this series first. because if there wasnt doing a third they would of said so but no one has. so if there not saying no then there is a chance
