Was anyone else surprised at how charmless Victoria Pile was in the DVD commentary on Ep 1. I know she was tired but she came across as a charmless woman who was really hard work.
Oooh yes, and Julian said he 'really fancies' the actress who plays Kim. Crikey. And SHE must know this now, so...... Imagine finding out that JRT had fancied you for ages!!! What would you do?
I think they dragged Mangan into the Episode 1 commentary to liven it up as it was so awful with Pile and one of the other behind the scene guys. I cant remember who it was. Mangan tried to ask some questions to get them talking e.g like how Pile picked the actors etc. She just curtly said something like well you were there went you... bemusing Mangan who was manfully trying to get them to say something interesting. I kept thinking how the hell is this woman in charge of the show.
Episode 5 is the best with Steve, Tamsin and JRT. I didnt want that one to end.

I think the words you're looking for are modest and restrained. She's not a performer you know.

Hehehe it was really funny, I was quite surprised when the thing turned round and revealed it's backside Hahaha. Is that the right one? I can't tell them apart. They don't give much warning of what they're about to do, do they? One minute they're smiling, the next minute they're... well, smiling from the other end.

I thought that epi 5 was a great commentary and I found epi 9 v.amusing just after the Caroline/Mac/'Fraudulent Little Tart' scene. JRT joins the gang for the last section and adds a little humour along the way. It's well worth waiting for, or fast forwarding to!!

Was it just me, or did anyone else pick up on a bit of aggro when listening to the commentary with Karl whatsit who plays Martin. He makes some derogatory remark about JRT's acting. I'm sure its just envy..
"I know I'm not wearing much makeup, but thats quite rude"
Damn my failing memory, it was a comment on a scene where JRT appears, and he just made some comment about his acting. If no one else spotted it, I may be sad enough to rewatch them with the commentary this coming lovely long weekend and see if I can find it again, but its not that important really..just wondered if anyone else heard it.

Oh, I know which comment you mean. It's in the commentary for episode 9 somewhere (near the end after he's just joined but JRT hasn't yet).I can't remember what he says though but everyone went "Oooooh!" after he said it. That and his tone of voice when saying it made me assume he was joking. And Steven said in another commentary how him, JRT and Karl hang around outside of filming, so I presume they get on.
