Here you can give one example ( or more I'm not a tyrant Ninja) of something you keep meaning to do but never have!

Mine is re-read Jane Eyre! I was made to read it at school ( some 12 years ago) and didnt enjoy it so I bought it a year ago and still cant bring myself to do it...

I keep meaning to transfer all my home movies from VHS to DVD and attempt to re-edit them in a GW style (or at least to re-edit them into a slightly more coherrant zippy movie that can be enjoyed by all as at present they are 9 hours lon)

And that doesn't include all the recent ones I have on tape (about another 4 hours worth)

The size of the job is putting me off so I can't bring myself to start, plus I only have from 715pm (when the children go to bed) to 9pm (when my husband gets home from work and commaneers the computer) 5 days per week to do it in and inevitably I am drawn to this forum instead!

'i keep meaning to find a job', same here, but I want to enjoy the summer first, seeing as I have just gone through the ordeal of A2 exams. I like Jane Eyre, but I prefer Wuthering Heights (Heathcliff!) the BBC is making an adaptation of it at the mo, so u could watch it and then see if u have changed your mind. Smile

I wasn’t a big fan of Jane Eyre either – I prefer Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier which often gets (rather unfairly) compared with Jane Eyre –yes they both feature similar plotlines with regard to “brooding men” with secrets involving their respective wives, however Rebecca is way more atmospheric and chilling… Read that instead!! Hehehe! Smile

Something I keep meaning to do is go abroad on holiday but there’s always something that prevents it – i.e. lack of funds due to buying a house, purchasing various essential DVD’s including Green Wing S1, Black books etc, etc. The end result is a few days in a tent in the Lake District… Glamorous I know!! Frown

I could just watch it yeah! I do like to read though and tend to prefer books to tv adaptations. You imagine the charactors a certain way and then the film trys to change those images...

Thanks for the tip Holly , I will try 'Rebecca'...
I am bad with money too, I just cant resist a 'bagain' that ends up being a waste of money and before I know it I'm broke.
I will learn one day that a half price pair of shoes a size too small isnt very good value Confused

Yay! Jamaica Inn is one of my all-time favourite novels!! Wuthering Heights is a brilliant book… It’s such a shame Emily Bronte died so young. I think Wuthering Heights is the best of all the Bronte sister’s works.

Ooops, getting slightly off topic again… Don’t know what’s wrong with me today! Roll Eyes

The copy of Jane Eyre I bought is a hard-back compilation thingy and has Wuthering Heights ,Shirley and Villette in there too.
This only cost me £2.50 at a charity shop too!

You guys have convinced me too read them all too Smile
Makes a change from my usual chick-lit rubbish!

Yeah charity shops are the place to go for books! I have plenty of charity shops and not a lot else where I live so I'm always picking up bargain books... Finding the time to read them is a bit more tricky!

I just thought I'd randomly inform you I live very close to the Jamaica inn. There's a real foul mouthed parrot and next door to the inn there's a really creepy museum.

Right things I've not got round to:
Calling my music tutor to book a lesson Roll Eyes
Take Hannibal and Silence of the Lambs back to my school library - I took them out about 3 months ago
Book an appointment with my optician
Find a dentist

Ignore everythng but the dentist thing. I hadn't been to the dentist for 8 years until last week when I broke a tooth and found I needed 500 quids worth of work doing! (I have quite nice teeth this is making me sound a bit like a toothless bint but I'm not!)

Things I never get around to doing:
Tidying the house (We're buying a house and I can't be bothered tidying cos hopefully we'll be packing soon)
Writing reports
Whenever I'm not on the net I can think of 3 million e mails I need to send and things I need to look up but the minute I log on they go!

I don't know its an impossible choice, i'll just have to hope that when I flip the coin it somehow explodes and kills me.
