yes but he does say that she has no sense of humour and looks like a "doctor", dnt no whether thats just him being mean or a joke. however the bit i like when he just looks at her is in the ep where caro has her housewarming party and their in the bathroom and her looks at her.

He spent most of the first series teasing her - like all the almost kisses in ep 8 when at the last minute he would turn away and leave her all weak kneed. (that doesn't look right - you know what I mean!).
Then of course there was Emmy.
If the whole relationship thing was a joke on Caroline that was a bit of a mean thing to do to Emmy.
Yes but he didn't have to get her jelous as she asked him out for dinner and then he brought in Emmy- Although..... at the time she had been to the country with Guy and he was jelous so maybe it was his plan to get his own back. When Caro asked him for dinner it was too late as he'd already asked out Emmy so he had to go along with it....
Rewatching it the first series was very clever how it started with Caroline thinking Mac wasn't very nice because he kept getting blamed for everything that Guy did. And he was very mean to her after Guy had been winding him up about Holly "the babykiller". then after their kiss when she had fallen for him he started playing hard to get.
yea i dont get Mac sometimes, because he leads Caro on and she ends up hurt, but then she always goes back to him, maybe he knows that i dont know. he is sometimes cruel to her, the whole engagement thing, but i think hes just as scared as she is
I think you've hit it on the head why we all love Mac so much Mel21. He's like the best looking boy at school who we all fancied from afar, yet it turns out that underneath he has the same underlying insecurities as Caro. We all identify with Caro because if she can "pull" Mac there is hope for us all!
Did anyone watch the commentary in ep. 5 series 1? SM and TG were saying that was part of his charm and the reason why he wears what they call the 'pyjama shirt'. Tey were saying it was part of his charm, like "I've just got out of bed and I may be going back there in a minute with you"...
i havent seen that one yet, im resisting until when my exams are over so i can watch them all! why thank u votARS, its just strange for us because its usually the girl who has insecurites and stuff, i think Mac is scared because hes never felt that strongly about someone, i dont know, im still confused by him sometimes!

But right at the very end of the commentary of ep9 he said something along the lines of "thankyou for listening all 7 of you and may I suggest that maybe you should get a life.."

i think it's more that he felt that strongly about holly, but then she f*cked him over, so he's a bit csared of getting hurt like that again.
have you noticed that he's giving caro the look at the top of the page. makes me feel a bit knock-kneed every time i scroll back to the top

but he knows that Caro isnt like that, afterall, she waited around for him through the whole Holly thing and was so sweet to him and helped him through it etc
