ZOMGZOMGZOMG. I HOPE SO!!! for some reason my heart I hsave always felt that there was gonna be another last episode of green wing because they have left too many strings untied. But my head doesnt. Cause of what the writers keep saying

No, sorry, you are soo wrong, without saying numbers, it's been a very long time since I was 15! And you must be the only person who wasn't interested in the Guy/Mac/Caro storyline!! How else can you explain the great surge of interest in the series after S1. ep5? And that was the most requestd episode at the convention. Although the Joanna/Statham scenes were hilarious, I think the love triangle was the element of that episode which kept people coming back for more. So there, new member! |

I think im right in saying Talespinner didn't care about the love triangle but she wasn't rude to the rest of us that did care.

The sort of people that post on these forums are also the sort of people that would actually care about mac/todd and all that (and are most likely all girls)
I would be willing to bet money that the average viewer was drawn to the show because of Statham/Sue White etc. It's only on these forum that I see to hear people say they actually care what happens in that little love triangle...

I disagree. The people that come on the forum are true fans of the show, as a whole, not just for the three main characters (although their story is a good way to entice viewers - including me!) The show itself wouldn't have worked without the 3 so we can't put them down. Everyone has their own opinions about their favourite characters. Personally, I would love a spin off, perhaps with the minor characters as main parts but I would like the main 3 to pop in it every now and then.

Awwww, bless little Martin! I would like to express my apprehension for the spin off. Personally, I think I would compare it too much to the original and that wouldn’t do it any justice at all. I love the concept of Green Wing; I also loved ALL the characters. The entire show is a masterpiece and like Jemma I like the idea of us each being able to draw our own conclusions for each character. I’d probably watch a spin-off - I wouldn’t be able to resist the curiosity - but I don’t think I’d enjoy it anywhere near as much. |

You're quite right - I really didn't care about the triangle, although it was a masterful piece of plotting, as evidenced by the furore it sparked! For me the highlights were: any scene with Boyce/Statham; Caroline's desperation for a cigarette (class acting, that, you could taste the frustration!) and the scenes with Mac, Guy and Caro in the O/R. I enjoyed the tension of watching Caroline dig herself in deeper whenever she tried to make things right with Mac, and the Iago-like antics of the superb Dr Secretan to throw large spanners (or sabots!) in the works. That would have worked for me whoever was involved in the triangle. As for a spin-off; it it weren't too obvious I think it could work extremely well. Even if it did concern "what came next" with Mac/Guy/Caro, I'm sure we'd get used to seeing them walking normally, without the speedy up bits, surprisingly quickly. I don't think we're crediting the writing team nearly enough here: they know what to do to make it work - they've proved that. They're intelligent, experienced, very very funny people and they know the risks. This was proven by ending GW itself after 2 seasons rather than flogging it to death simply because it was popular. Please, let's credit Vic, Rob and everyone involved, with the talent they've shown us they possess, and let's just be glad they didn't kill everyone off as originally planned! SPENCE - T*tting clever am I?! I'll try and take that as a compliment whether you meant it or not! lol!

well blanchy, if you actually looked at the forum you would actually see there are many threads on Green Wing music. Also did your mother never tell you, if you haven't got anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. this forum is for people who appreciate the show greenwing, not for randemers to come on and tell us all how rubbish parts of it was. go to the BB forum if you want confrontation. im sure they'd be happy to have you

You're entitled to your opinion Blanchy... even if you're wrong!  I’m sure there are fans out there who watch the show purely for the eye candy but TRUE fans are all-embracing.
