she's one of my favourite characters so i decided she needed a thread to be discussed on, ergo, here is that thread.
does anyone else feel sorry for her when the others are mean? poor karen.

Brian May is the guitarist in the band Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions etc, etc
Anita Dobson is his wife – she used to be in Eastenders – “Angie” married to Dirty Den

They’re both “frizz ‘eads” (to quote Martin) like Karen!

aw thanks, i do know who queen are, just not the names of the people in the band! i'm usually like that with bands though, they become one person in my head.
anyway, back to karen!

I think it's great the way each cast member has a fab p1sstake out of them!
Afterall Jrt Does have a hairdo like Camila Parker-Bowells and Boyce doesn look like a porcelain ladyboy.
ps-I would really like to shake the hand of the person that decided Oliver chris looked like a ladyboy! He really does.

I agree. I think it’s JRT (eek! Sorry to mention him in this thread) who says that going to work on GW was like entering a zone of verbal and physical abuse!! That’s probably why they all have such superb sense of humours. I guess if you can’t laugh at yourself you wouldn’t last 5 minutes on the show!!

Hey gorgonzola, no need to apologise for being slightly younger than me and Jemma1 – we appear to be like the grandma’s of this forum these days!! Hehehe! Big Grin

And it’s easy to preach on what you know when there are plenty of things you don’t – if that makes sense?? Confused

Anyway, Karen’s sulky dancing at Caroline’s party is my favourite moment – her face, the way she’s hunching her shoulders… everything about it just makes me laugh!! Cool

shes quite moody. have u noticed that wen she storms or runs off (which is quite often) she always gos back for something? e.g to break that guitar of the pen pal guy, to get that makeup off martinn or forgets her bag and loads of other times!

Even Caroline finds Karen strange and that is really saying something!

Yeah, she’s like a sulky teenager… oops! – no offence to any teenagers reading this, I know you’re not all like that!

Karen is like Martin in that her character is very subtle – you have to keep an eye out for the really funny bits. It’s more about their facial expressions as opposed to Guy and Statham who have the “all-out” gags

When Martin tips the 'white stuff' off the cd at party I remember thinking it is something Karen might do too.

I love it in S1 when she’s “crouching” to appear more attractive and Martin says “what you doing down there?” and then crouches down to her level to talk to her! Awwww… they’re so schweet!! Valentine
