Oh. That's great. You know, today's gossip magazines have nooooo respect for great actors like JRT. Still, one reference to JRT/Green Wing is better than none, I suppose. Roll Eyes

Of course he's gonna look bored on a tube! He's hardly gonna be sat there chatting away to himself is he??

Stoopid magazine... They were obviously short on pictures of Jade Goody using a toilet this week! Mad

I do too but not really in public places (i.e. trains)! And can you imagine if he was sat on a train talking to himself?? Everyone would think he had lost the plot!

I can't believe I was in London for a whole 36 hours the other week and didn't see ANYONE from Green Wing, let alone the lovely JRT! Confused

This makes me think of the train scene with JRT in Keen Eddie!
But do you really think it was him - Do wealthy people ride trains very often? I always picture Julian in a sports car or motorcycle, or a chauffeur-driven limo for special evenings, but I can't picture him on a train, not if London trains are anything like ours.

I have seen famous people on the tube -it is the only way to get around London, particularly since there is a charge for driving in central London. People do use bikes though (I saw Andrew Lincoln on his a few months back) and as we know JRT does have a motorbike!

I think JRT probably likes being able to take the tube without having legions of adoring fans stalking him!! That’s probably why he’s always stuck to theatre and relatively small parts on TV/Film – he had the opportunity to make it big years ago but I think he’s one of those modest actors who’s not at all fame hungry and just acts for the love of the job.

I think it was Jonny Lee Miller (he’s another one on my list!) who once said that theatre acting was way better that film because you can still do the job that you love but you don’t have all the media interest that goes with it. It’s more like a “real job” and you still have the opportunities to live a normal life.

Dunno that being a mainly theatre actor gives you more of a 'normal' life (its definately not 9-5), just means you probably get recognised by a different and not so harrasing type of people, maybe?
I see quite a lot of famous people around london but i am really bad at recognising them and it usually takes me hours of going 'they're vaguely familiar' to figure it out.

I always get other people talking to me. It even happened in Paris where this woman had a half hour conversation with me where she didn't seem to realise that I don't speak French and only understand a little!

i sometimes talk to myself and i told my best friend that the other day and she looked at me like i was totally off my head, so i am now a bit more careful who i tell now! i dont mind writing it on here though, cos no one knows who i am! (and also i cant see any funny looks anyone gives me!)

I talk to myself all the time, INCLUDING in public. not in crowded places though (usually...). mostly on my way to school. i stop whenever anyone's near me, though. sometimes I get distracted and start to talk louder than I know that I should, and theres a person that I didn't see digging in his front garden and giving me a funny look. I just walk past with my nose in the air and my face completely red trying not to look at him.
