Well I'm off to cancel my holiday to Greece in October - some things are more important!

Oh i hope its all true! it would be very GW to have an xmas special...not at xmas! and it would also coincide with the possible s2 dvd release date!

according to the lovely people at british sitcom guide the "xmas" special will not be on the season 2 dvd and will have it's own dvd release. possibly because it won't have been broadcast before the s2 dvd comes out.

I'd think it's highly likely that if they show the special before xmas that they will release the dvd at xmas cos it always guarantees a high volume of sales. just a thought.

That's interesting. Perhaps they're genuinely worried about placating the angst-ridden pitchfork-wielding fans. TV companies can't be too careful these days, with so many 'alternative entertainments' on offer and all.

On amazon the release date is septemeber 4th...which is ages before the release date on play.com! I'm hoping amazon's date is right and that would ofcourse mean the xmas special would be released seperately...

according to several things i've heard, including from this forum and the british sitcom guide the release date is officially october. amazon has been known to be wrong about these things. would be nice though, a whole month less.

I got the same email off the Sitcom Guide and it didnt exactly say there would be 2 weddings, it said (and i quote)"There will be definitely be at least one wedding! Who is getting married though we'll have to wait and see".....
Straws? Clutching? Well why not i guess!

Edzmen/ British sitcom guide I love you! Before I came on here I was really depressed, stressing about my hamlet exam (which I am going to fail) but I don't care now. So just to clarify as I can't completely read what you have posted, the funeral is not Mac's but Angela's (yessssssssssssssssssssssssss), there will be 2 weddings (1 of which has to be caro and Macs), and all the story lines will be tied up which decreases the possibility of there being a third series but increases the possibility of Mac getting with caro. Bring on October, I am supposed to be at uni then but I don't care nothing will separate me from green wing _ nothing!

Calm down everyone, the sitcom guide says it *could* be shown earlier than Christmas, not that it *will* be shown earlier than Christmas.
Oh, who am I kidding? I'm very excited about this prospect. If only fantasycheck were here, I'm sure he'd be able to advise.
