Hmmm,

well I can come up with 3 ways but they're all crap!

1) - Bagpuss was owned by Emily, who later went out with Mac (see told you, crap)

2) - The Bagpuss theme tune was used in spaced, blah blah mark heap blah blah

3) - Bagpuss was created by the same people who did the Clangers, which is what Karen was afraid of in the last episode

So unless someone can come up with a better answer to Bagpuss, I'm going to put The Hoff up up next

Ah I see in that case:
1 'The Hoff' was on baywatch as was Tracy Bingham
2. TB was on celebrity Big Bro as was Mark Owen
3. MO was in Take That who wrote the song Back For Good
4. Back For Good was played to Marsha in Spaced when she threatened to leave.
5. Spaced starred Mark Heap

Right then, a bit retro but how about Hulk Hogan

Ok, in this link I am going to use a very random fact which I found out whilst researching another 6 degrees of separation - I swear it is true to the best of my knowledge and confirmed by IMDB!

Hulk Hogan was in "Muppets from Space"
As was Kermit the Frog
Kermit sang "Especially for you" with Kylie
Kylie was in Neighbours
As was Darren Boyd
Darren Boyd was in Green Wing!

My new person is Dick Van Dyke

1 Dick Van Dyke is in diagnosis murder (which is fab in a cheesy american kind of way) which also starred Scott Baio
2 Scott Baio was in happy days with the fonz
3 The fonz was in an episode of Mork and Mindy starring Robin Williams
4 Robin Williams was in the dead poets society (a top film) which starred Dylan Kussman
5 Dylan Kussman also starred in an episode of the Xfiles
6 Dana Scully was mentioned (and a fake one appeared in the deleted scenes) many times in Spaced starring Mark Heap

Tricky one! Could link to the man himself so, the film Beethoven (the one about the dog) stared David Duchovny (is that how you spell it? do i really care?) who was in X-Files with Gillian Anderson and (so as not to steel the link above) Gillian Anderson was in a Cock and Bull Story with Rob Brydon who was in Little Britain with David Walliams who was in Spaced with Mark Heap

Oscar Wilde

I'm avoiding the obvious handbag links
Oscar Wilde wrote an ideal husband, which starred Minnie Driver in the film version.
Minnie Driver was an extra in an episode of The Day Today with Chris Morris
Chris Morris was also in the IT crowd one episode of which starred the lovely Oli Chris

Try Gary Linekar

Is it OK to have another go at this?
Beethoven was played in a biopic called 'Immortal Beloved' (great film) by Gary Oldman; G.O.was in 'H.Potter& Gob.of Fire alongside Mark Williams; M.W.was in 'Carrie and Barry' (a Neil Morrissey vehicle) alongside Michelle Gomez.

Still working on Beethoven the real person.

Try Reg Varney.

Apparently Reg Varney was in a Paul Merton thing in '95 so from there:
Paul Merton is on Have I got News for you which used to be presented by Angus Deayton
Angus was in Nighty Night with Gill Davies
Gill was in Big Train with Kevin Eldon who played the role of Scissors Bentley
(I know Mark Heap was in Big Train too but I think Kevin Eldon doesn;t get mentioned often enough, and I'm surprised he hasn;t been on TV more)

Nobody did Gary Linekar from before

I object to this game as I am too stupid to play it.

How scary is it that it was exactly that little known programme that I was thinking about when I posted Gary in the first place, We may well be the only 2 people left in the world who remember it!

John Simm starred in Miranda which featured JRT

Danny DeVito
