How scary is it that it was exactly that little known programme that I was thinking about when I posted Gary in the first place, We may well be the only 2 people left in the world who remember it!

I remember it too! I had a big crush on him many moons ago!! Roll Eyes

If you go to page 4 of this thread, I used Gary Lineker as a link from Pavarotti. I wonder if this later suggestion was subliminally picked up from that?

Beethoven
Is it OK to have another go at this?
Beethoven was played in a biopic called 'Immortal Beloved' (great film) by Gary Oldman; G.O.was in 'H.Potter& Gob.of Fire alongside Mark Williams; M.W.was in 'Carrie and Barry' (a Neil Morrissey vehicle) alongside Michelle Gomez.

Still working on Beethoven the real person.

Try Reg Varney.
Please can I have one more go at Beethoven? It doesn't depend on imdb either!!
Beethoven was a pupil of Haydn
Haydn visited London and met George IV
George IV met Queen Victoria (his niece)
Queen Victoria met George VI (her great grandson)
George VI's daughter is QE II
QE II opened Northwick Park Hospital in 1970.

Hokey Cokey (pig in a pokey) Sorry *represses League fan side of self* Had to look her up, but here we go...

1) Milla Jojovich was in Chaplin which starred Robert Downey Junior, HOWEVER
2) The rather delectable Mr. Depp was considered for the role
3) Mr. Depp was in PotC with the equally delicious Mr. Davenport, who is married to...(see where this is going?)
4) Michelle Gomez, AKA Sue white in the wonderful, wonderful Green Wing.

Ok, how about Julia Roberts.

I never really got it, my sister loves it and keeps trying to get me into it, but I think I'm missing something!
The funniest thing about it is though that I took the micky out of a bloke I went to uni with for having the same phone area code as the league of gentlemen and now I;m moving to that same area code d'oh (luckily I don't see him anymore so he'll never know!)

OMG I've always wanted to see the local shop! double cool with knobs on!
Mel21 - Did you stop watching after THAT bit with Pauline and Ross? I know several people who have never got past that bit.. Big Grin
I'm completely obsessed with it. Red Face

Captain Wipey - Which code is that? it's not 444 is it? or is that just really wishful thinking on my part? *blushes*

APOLOGIES!

And now, back on topic..

This is a bit obscure, so I'm not sure if it'll count..

1) John Wayne was in loads of westerns
2) Butch Cassidy and the Su...(that's BUTCH cassidy) and the Sundance Kid was a western..
3) Mac and Guy argues in 1:9 over who is who in that film.

Told you it was a bit dodgy link-wise!

Completely obsessed with the League of Gentlemen, not with THAT bit. That would just be sick. Big Grin And sick I may be, but not to that extent.

And for the linking thing...erm...David Bowie.

David Bowie sang the song 'Life On Mars' after which the TV program was named.
That starred Philip Glenister, whose brother, Robert Glenister is in Jane Hall with Stephen Mangan.

The guy who wrote that (one of them) is doing a follow up called Breakfast With Jonny Wilkinson. It's starting as a stage play like the first one did, but it may end up on TV too. I only know this because the actor/director whose website I maintain (Jonathan Guy Lewis) is directing it for stage at this moment. It's going to the Edinburgh Fringe apparently.

Nelson Mandela got his garden done by Alan Titchmarsh
AT was the voice of Gordon the garden gnome! directed by Tony Collingwood
TC also directed Daisy-Head Mayzie (or something along those lines) featuring the voice of Tim Curry
TC was Franknfurter in the Rocky Horror picture show also starring Meatloaf
Meatloaf was in Waynes World which had an excellent Queen headbanging scene
Green Wing also featured a Queen sequence

(sorry it got a bit tenuous at the end but I couldn;t be bothered checking IMDB)

Try Jeffrey Archer
