yeah i felt like he was playing with her emotions too much this series. its just not done i mean you don't do that to someone...so he has intimacy issues- GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!! lol phew glad thats outa my system

yea i understand he has issues, but caro has proved that shes not like that and will stick by him, so now he has no excuse!

exactly!! well said. I really think that whatever the ending is it'll be a good one and caroline will end up with who shes meant to be with

i no what you're sayin and i kind of agree but i dont think he actually expected her to wait for him, and i think after holly left, he realised how much she meant to him. i think that he was really glad she was only "misplaced", cos he knew if he lost her, it wud be his own fault. i loved the mini marsbar scene cos it was really subtle, and it showed that even though he wasnt happy bout letting caroline go, ie her date with jake, he was accepting it.

yea i mean after all that holly stuff, i would expect that mac could trust caro seeing as she waiting around and ended things with jake when she found out. i understand it was awk for him at the time, but once holly was outta the pic he shouldve moved in.

i mean things like the proposal scene, he couldve just said im not asking you to marry me, rather than let her get all excited etc etc

yeh i no but dont you think that in the proposal scene, he actually wanted to propose, but chickened out. i think all these scenes are slightly ambigous though and you have to decide what mac or whoever is thinkin.

I'm so glad you've said that lovemac! I think this forum has gone a bit CaroMac/CaroGuy crazy! Since when does it need to be one or the other? Surely they can both love her in different ways...

Guy has no inhibitions - he says what he wants and generally gets what he wants too.
Mac holds back and thinks about things way too much. That doesn't mean he doesn't feel anything less for Caroline! It just means he has difficulty in expressing himself. I loved the "eyebrows" scene - I don't understand why everyone was so surprised and offended by it!

We can sit and argue over who deserves Caroline more for hours on end but what's the point?

And I for one like both Mac and Guy for totally different reasons - hence I think a radical resolution is needed to tie up the icky situation. But that's what the writers of GW thrive on, so I'm hoping for something truly memorable to go with my mince pies at Christmas (or whenever it is)!

Phew... now that's over with I shall return to my rattled cage!!

Since this thread was supposed to be about memorable GW2 bits, I'd like to propose Statham's "confiscatio" of Boyce's potty putty. Absolutely superb physical comedy.

Okay, now you can go back to discussing Caro/Mac/Guy yet again

I love all of the bits that have already been mentioned, especially the keyboard rap and when the little green man attacked. Mac's kisses were also very impressive as well. I also love the scene were sue flew, and basically all of the bits she was in.

I don't remember as much from S2 coz I've only saw it once on the TV - but I do remember when Statham was trying to make Joanna jealous and he's in the taxi with a prostitute saying "ooh now she's giving me oral" Hehehe!

Can't wait for the DVD to come out so I cna learn the second series off by heart too!!

Picking one best bit from the series is way too hard but I definitely love the keyboard scene (I was lmao at that) and pretty much any bits with Alan Statham in. Mind you, on the less comical side, I REALLY adore the scene where Guy proposes to Caro and the way they kiss the first time in there. She isn't sure but Guy draws her into it so she can't resist and it looks like he made it really fun for Tamsin. Lucky her!

picking a best bit of series2 is like picking a favourite MAC moment but i think th eone that will stay wiv me wood b the last sce of epo 8 with mac on his bike ridin away that will stay wiv me 4eva

I loved Statham and Joanna's scene's when she was in the cupboard (my cupboard darling!). I thought that it was a really lovely moment.
I loved the Mini-mars bar scene.
I lved Guy's "Crown of Confidence".
I loved when Harriet put the banana down Joanna's top, and her blinking when asked about her night with Lyndon!
I loved Martin's Mother-Foing pimp walk.
I loved Caroline's face everytime she saw Hollie, and when she heard Statham's sex phonecall.
Obviously, Guy's organ
The proper kiss.
I loved the bit where Boyce sticks out his tongue and it's got HOMO written on it, hilarious!
The Beach Party scene.
The Gallbladder (Are you eating the patient?!)
oooooh, and SOOO many more, lol!

I loved the mini-mars bar scene, guys organ, Jake pretending to be a Guyball player, the Holly trap, all of Macs coma dreams, the beach party, the gallbladder, Sue singing the Circle of Life.

There are so many more that I'd just end up listing the entire series!

Now I'm going to annoy people. I love Mac and Guy for totally different reasons, but Guy has only really appeared to change since he moved in with Caroline. I think it's a case of her being something he hasn't been able to have and he's not used to that so he's become obsessed with getting her no matter what. This is what he thinks love is.

As for Mac, he's been hurt so badly by Holly that he has more walls up than a fort. And don't forget, he did try to get with Caroline much earlier in the first series and she turned him down because she didn't like him. And she kept telling him she didn't like him, even though everyone knows she does (as Jake pointed out). So the combination of him wanting to be completely certain before he asks anything (remember the whole add in the paper scene?) and her either telling him she doesn't like him or going off and kissing Guy whenever anything happens, unless they have a good, honest talk they're not going to get anywhere.

I actually said to a friend a couple of episodes from the end of the series that the whole series has been about screwing Mac over, and those feelings were confirmed in the last episode.

Ok, I'm going to run and duck for cover now! I'll use Stathams balaclava as a disguise!

No, no he was winding Guy up coz afterwards he says to Caroline he felt really bad because they've "upset him" and Caroline was like "well that's the point".

I loved that scene too - I think Jake was really sweet and I remember watching it thinking "awwwww, they're quite a sweet couple"... but then I regained my senses and realised that Guy was right... Jake was just "far too nice"

Not to mention his walking spaghetti-like qualities. Yeeesh!

Doh! Another reference to the episode I missed! Sounds like I chose to move house on the wrong Friday/Saturday... Damn it!

yea Jake is too nice, like when Caro was breaking up with him he was just too nice about it, its not healthy!

something i still dont get is why on EARTH did caroline let jake drive to the hospital with a knife in his head!??!??!?!

Yeah the alphabet song is genius... I don't know which time I found it funnier - the first time when he sang it in the Chinese or the second time on the cliff edge. It seemed so right for Mac and Guy to be debating the three musketeers when they were faced with death and Alan Statham to be teaching Martin and Joanna his alphabet song... "v is for vagina" Hehehe!
