wahay! i was a bit disappointed that i wasnt wetting myself with laughter in the first half, but after the interval i could hardly control myself.
bill bailey is a master of comedy.
theres a really funny bit when (its in white in case you dont want to spoil it) he is standing in a park in character, holding up ok magazine with his face on!
i bet that would have been unfortunate if you had done!

Hope you have a great time! The Sunday times gave it a good review last week, and yes, the photo of Sally Phillips did look as if she was pregnant! I really wanted to go to it but my partner booked Spamalot instead!!! LOL Men, I ask you!

Now that sounds great!!!! Unfortunately, we went to Spamalot on the Saturday just gone!!! It was quite funny, especially if you know M.P and The Holy Grail well. Though it's not exactly the same, ofcourse. However, when you see it, you will know why the men booked it - plenty of scantily clad dancing girls in it!!! LOL
It all makes sense now..... and there was me thinking he was just humouring (no pun intended) my wish to see MP, now i know the alterior motive... Re-watching the film tonight to remind myself of all my favourite quotes!

I've seen an exert of this. Wasn't convinced myself. Mid you saying that I dare Say if I saw the whole thing it might change my view

If you liked the film, you'll probably like the play, but it is different from the film. I likened it to a panto but for adults. They got someone from the audience on stage etc. and a lot of the acting was deliberately hammed up! It was just pure entertainment really, no analysing or anything too taxing for my meagre little brain, perfect for a Saturday night! LOL

Well at £60 a ticket, £40 on train fares plus the cost of a meal afterwards, I really can't afford to do it too often either!!! Now, if I could, then maybe I could be called sophisticated!!!
Originally posted by Gingereenos: gosh aren't you all so sophisticated?
Sophisticated??????!!!!! Just because we sometimes go to the theatre?????!!!!!
yes, because you can affrd to go to the theatre

RE: my post above - it doesn't happen very often, even though I live close to London, you are right it really is v.expensive!!! I always said that if I moved to London I would go all the time, but at those prices, unlikely!!!
i've never been to the theatre for a proper show (only pantomime, but i was in it, so it didn't count!)

You were in a panto!!!! WOW!!! That really does count!!! I would love to do Am.dram. you lucky thing!!! Unfortunately, I was in a drama comp. at school once, and I completely dried up!!LOL and I only had 1 line!!! Now that is sad!
Oh and forgot to say, as far as not being able to afford to go to the theatre goes, finding a (slightly) older boyf. with a lucrative job can help! Not that I'm the sort of girl who would sponge off a man, oh no, as if. However, if they offer to pay..........!!!
it was actually quite scary, i was a dancer for the chorus of "One Step Closer" by S Club Juniors (it was called Snow White goes Pop!) i had to wear orange
