I love how British comedy actors just turn up in tv programmes with other comedy actors, or star with them in several things as different characters. I might not be making sense here, I'll give examples:
-Oli Chris is in The Office and I think that was with Kim (cant remember her name) and they were dating in that too?
- Olivia Colman was in Confetti, obviously with SM and Mitchell and Webb - also together in Peep Show
- Tamsin was in Black Books with Bill Bailey Dylan Moran and our JRT - was some sort of fling with each other there? Also appeared in Shaun of the Dead, along with the Spaced lot

Do you see where I originally was going with this now quite rubbish theory? Someone please back this up and say more to stop me feeling like I'm spouting Dr Statham type drivel Razz

What can I tell you? A few ground rules. No bombing, no running, no petting, no diving and no inflatables. In fact, probably best to leave all swimming related activities until later ; this is after all, an operating theatre.

it is true they all tend to borrw each other from time to time

dawn from the office and Dylan Moran in shaun of the dead
mark Heap in spaced

its fairly common you basically watch any new british comedy and you will recognise someone

I just watched Shaun of the Dead last night and was thinking the same thing. Martin Freeman was in the group, too, with Tamsin. Paul Kaye was a zombie - very quick, almost missed him. And Nick Frost (Guy's friend at the bar).

mark heap was also in confetti and jessica stevenson from Spaced and martin freeman from the office

jrt also appeared with sally phillips in Smack the pony,

Simon Pegg has appeared in Black Books too - different episode to JRT though

Nick Frost is currently in that 'Man Stroke Woman' comedy thing on BBC3

it's one big incestuous comedy family!

i completley agree! as a budding actress and drama teacher(!) i believe its all to do with talent, those mentioned are quite simply excellent actors/actresses. i like the familiarity!

There was a thread ages ago called comedy connections about this. They do all work together all the time (JRT was with Simon Pegg, Sally Phillips and "Jake" in Hippies in 1999)

I like this idea of connecting actors together. You might be able to make a decent episode of Comedy Connections.

Both were in series 1 ep "The Long Game". Pegg was The Editor and Tamsin was a nurse who put things in people's heads.

Stephen worked with Alison Steadman in Chunky Monkey, Adrian Mole and in Confetti. She worked with JRT in Let Them Eat Cake and she is in the Miss Marple thing. She was also a voice in Stressed Eric with Mark Heap.

Such a tangled web!

btw - Simon Pegg was in the 7th episode of the first new series of DrWho playing a baddie, Patterson Joseph (lyndon) was in the last two episodes of that series too!

Me and my friend were trying to think of all the links between our favourite actors (Steve/Julian/Tamsin/Dylan Moran/Bill Bailey/Simon Pegg/Nick Frost/Mark Heap/Jessica Stevenson, list goes on) and there were so many we got very confused!
