and they had that pit next to his cell where they used to push people down and leave them to die so he could hear them

old doctor who = camp and silly. ill admit that the new doctor who has had some baaaad moments of over acting and childishness, but this was a very clever episode

Doctor Who was so scary last night, and then afterwards i was walking out of the bathroom, open the door and my mum was standing outside with her hands over her eyes!! Made me scream Eek

I feel bad for the kids who watched cos i'm an adult and scared me, they'll be sleeping with their lights on - cos you know they can get you when the lights are out brr.

old doctor who wasn't camp and silly, i distinctly remember hiding behind the sofa from the cybermen! being five can't possibly have been the reason can it? Tom Baker rocked!

I'm torn between Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee having met them both as well as Patrick troughton, Peter Davidson, Colin Baker and most of their assistants as well as K9 and a dalek and cyberman. Yes I have all their autographs as well as William Hartnell's wife ( she signed as 1st Mrs Doctor Who.

Jon Pertwee wins on being charming and friendly to his fans , one of the others was damn right rude and horrible. These things leave an impression when you're 10.

Anyway David Tennent is way more camp and jokey (ducks flying veg etc) the doctor was rude and sarcastic and the premise from the first episode was that he had NO control on his Tardis it would be nice if he could leave earth thesedays.

Honestly you probably have less idea of where you'll end up on a train in this country than in the tardis Wink

At least the tardis is going slightly further afield these days – there was a brief time when it didn't seem to be able to make it out of modern-day London [or is that Cardif?]. Now it can get as far as just out side London and a few decades in the past.

I mainly remember Jon Pertwee as Wurzel Gummage rather than Dr Who and Patrick Troughton always seemed a little scary. Out of curiosity, which one was rude and horrible?

William Hartnal was a lot scarier than Patrick Troughton althoufgh I know what you mean. The rude one came between Jon Pertwee and Peter Davidson without naming names. He wouldn't sign things and obviously didn't want to be there. In total contrast the others esp. Jon Pertwee were wonderful. He was very much like Julian has been at Landscapes very charming and friendly treating us more like long lost friends and asking what we thought of things.

This could explain why I watch anything with sean Pertwee in these days.

In all honesty though public transport can get you a few miles out of London and a few decades back, you kind of expect more from a time lord!!

Living in Cardiff you see evidence of them filming quite a lot. We should be due some fake snow soon for the christmas episode.
It makes watching the episodes more fun when you can recognise all the landmarks and sometimes friends houses, same with Torchwood.

Thanks to the appearence of John Simms I will now be sticking with Doctor Who although I will be supporting the master.

Although of course now my dreams of John Simm as the Doctor will never happen now but thinking about it I'd rather see him evil Devil

I know what a veritable bonanza of top male totty. I think John Simm is going to make a superb master. He's certainly mastered (gedit) the slightly manical look. It's just a shame there are only 2 episodes left.

Do we have any idea when/if Torchwood is coming back?
