If John Simm doesn't get some type of award for the Master he might as well give up !!

ive said since life on mars that john simm would make a far better doctor than tennant. i much prefered eccelston, because at least he didnt overact and pull slightly alarming faces...

See my arguement has always been that it's been dumbed down for kids and that includes the acting. Probably have rotten veg thrown at me but I preferred Christoper Eccleson too.

DT is good at what he does but he never makes me believe he is in a scary situation. John Simms however is menacing and rather cute

exactly. after watching a lot of the old new episodes, i learnt to hate the way we talks. i mean hes a good actor, whys he being told to do it? john simm as doctor, and the girl who he played alongside in life on mars as the assistant.

im just hoping he gets replaced soon lol, and martha, sharpish.

I think Chris + David have both been good in their own ways - though I've never really seen any old stuff to compare it too.

I was rather dissappointed with the last ep though - it was going so well till last night, when it went slightly poo!

John Simm was incredible though - I was worried he wouldn't be 'bad' enough, but he managed to be evil and loveable at the same time - shame that it look as though he won't be back

(the master will, perhaps - probably in fact, as they seem unable to get rid of any of the major baddies

- but in a different body I suppose, which is a shame.

Am I one of the only people who absolutely loved the last episode?? Ok maybe it was not the best, but I still really enjoyed it.

John Simm was fantastic; the whole "War of the Worlds" scenario was great; Freema was fantastic; the link back to Utopia was unexpected; Jack and Face of Boe link was inspired!; the end with Martha was I think surprising, but also good (although I was beginning to think she was better than Rose so I cannot imagine how they can replace her now!); the Titanic end was awesome.......

....but most importantly, DT was so so so moving. When the Master was dying, you could see the pain he felt, not wanting to be alone again. David is such a great actor - hat's off to ye

And now I have a horrid future vision of when he leaves DW.... a dark day in the Tardis that will be

I actually prefer the character of Martha to Rose. I was very disappointed when the Doctor didn’t beg her to stay… Is Freema not doing anymore episodes? I was assuming she’d be back in the Christmas episode (along with Kylie Minogue)…

Freema isn't doing the Christmas special, she re-joins half way through the 4th season. She's doing 3 episodes of Torchwood aswell. The Doctor's getting a new companion for all of the 4th season so for some of it there'll be Martha and a new person.

I agree with you, I though the last ep was fab, looks like we're in the minority though!
Hasn't anyone else heard the rumours that John Simm will be the new doctor who, the story I heard was that when he regenerates, he regenerates to look like the master. Anyone else heard this?

I don't know its an impossible choice, i'll just have to hope that when I flip the coin it somehow explodes and kills me.

She's the most over-rated untalented person on TV and I find her increadibly annoying. Didn't watch the xmas one because of the mear mention of her name

Maybe we start a petition as the general consensus is that we don't want her in it and quite a few of us WON'T be watching it anymore.

Mind you don't think the certain fraise blonde could fit anything else into his schedual this year seeing as he had to shoot off on his bike between the 2 performances on tues to do a voice over in the pouring rain then was off on a flight at 4.30am to do another job!
