Mac is definitely the best character in Green Wing. The surgical team would fall apart without him at the helm. Guy would be uncontrollable in his theatre antics and Caroline would be left to cope without him  it is impossible to imagine her doing regional accents with any other surgeon. Mac's character is quite simply a genius of creation by both the writers and JRT himself, and they are all to be applauded for such a fantastic job. Oh, one more thing..... if Mac dies I will eat you - I shall give up my 15 year vegetarian choice to do so  (and more of Mac's bum in the last episode please!)
Mac: Are you lost or mis-placed?
Caroline: Too early to tell. I think I'm probably just mis-placed.
Mac: I wanted you to know if I was to mislay anything that was extremely important to me then I would probably rush down to the lost property office as soon as possible.
Caroline: Even if it was shut?
Mac: Even if it was shut. Even if it was in the middle of the b****y night - I'd go down there and bang on the doors.

MAC : (to his surgical team) : What can I tell you? A few ground rules. No bombing, no running, no petting, no diving and no inflatables. In fact, probably best to leave all swimming related activities until later ; this is after all, an operating theatre.

Ok, if mac goes, i wont be able to watch green wing anymore. It simply wont be the same. Julian is an amazing actor that has made Green Wing what it is. Plus he is the sexiest human alive. CAROLINE AND MAC FOREVER the whole Caroline and Guy thing is really very frustrating and had me almost in tears in the last episode. DONT KILL MAC

i love mac, his smiles, his hand gestures, his gorgeous ginger sorry, strawberry blond locks... i even love his ears. if mac dies, i won't eat the producer/writers or whoever because i'm not cannibals like alan, sue and guy; but i will hunt them down. hopefully they'll all die of poo!! mwahahahaha!

I love Mac too. All I want is for him and Caroline to live happily ever after. They cant kill him. I'll end up in an insane asylum muttering over and over again "Macs dead, macs dead macs dead" and my faith in all things good will be shattered. Nah, I'll be fine but killing Mac, so not cool.
