I know everyone knows that the DVD we've all been waiting for is due out on MONDAY 3RD APRIL, but I thought (taking advantage of the new forum) we could have a thread to discuss our anticipation for the DVD.
I am particularly looking forward to the cast commentaries. It'll be wonderful to be able to watch this series at leisure, without raking through lots of recorded video tapes filled with adverts.
Yes,indeed. I always listen avidly to dvd commentaries, interesting to find out how things were done or thought of. Also like listening to favourite actors' voices!

I really must get a cheap DVD player so I can watch it in my room in peace. And also I'll have to clear all the rubbish off my desk so I can see the telly. And I'll have to find a more comfortable chair, the plastic garden chair I'm using doesn't really cut it. Argh so much to do!

how many copies of the dvd can you buy before it's considered obsessive? obviously i'm just getting the one, but hypothetically.

hopefully it will have some sort of extra or deleted scenes as they are always good, and hopefully some interviews etc with cast! anyone know how much its gonna cost?
I was looking forward to it much more before it was put back behind the repeats on TV - 'tis a bit weird that they're doing that just 2 weeks before it's released! Not that anything will stop me buying it of course.
James had photos from a full cast Guyball session that I am expecting on the DVD.
And I think we might get to see many takes of the Kissing in the Toilet scene. Given that you can just see Tamsin corpsing at the end of that scene in Ep 5 they must have had real problems getting them to do it with straight faces. Otherwise they wouldn't have used that take.
Don't think the Guyball thing made it on - I suspect it was funnier to be in than actually watch. There are some great deleted scenes though. It's already at no. 6 on the Amazon DVD chart! Huzzah!

Very well spotted! Martin Geissler was indeed the inspiration, although that was over 3 years ago when he was scarcely known in a UK sense. I knew him from his stint on the Hearts TV Channel (he's a fan).
