Interesting. If I were you, I wouldn't dwell on it. Everyone has moments of frustation which has to be vented. How did the guy who contacted you put it? Look at it from this angle. No matter how hard to try to keep people happy and not upset them with your views and beliefs, it's impossible. Even if you have since changed your views, you may not be able to remove the offence. But it is THEIR problem now, not yours. The fact that you accepted that you view was a little unfair shows a lot of strength of character. All you can do is say sorry but please don't get hung up about this guy. If he is emailing you and ever waiting for you in London (which you will go to!), it only shows how petty he is to get hung up on one person's view, no matter how offensive it was (And I'm sure it wasn't that bad, just blown out).
Maturity is admitting your mistakes, taking on board others views, even if you don't agree with them, and moving on. Believe me. In the industry I work in, we do upset the odd member of Joe Public with some of the imagery and messages we try to put across but it is important to remember thet the views of that person are not the views of everyone. And those who come back to throw abuse aren't doing it because of you, they are doing it because they can.
Serious bit over. Have some milk and a cookie.
