Elliot is sitting in a crowded room, full of other boys dressed like him. There isn't much conversation between them going on.

Man : Contestant Number 3923 please.

A boy around Elliot's age stands up and adjusts his shirt collar. He follows the man into another room.

Elliot : Oh god.

He glanced down and saw he was next.

Elliot : I can do this.

Man : Contestant number .. 3924 , we're ready for you now.

Eliiot took a deep breath, straightened his glasses and followed the man into a small black room.

A microphone was clipped to his shirt and a camera pointed in his face.

Man :Hello, I'm Steve.If you could just say your name age and where you're from. Then you've got a whole minute to talk wbout yourself.

Elliot : Erm , hi, I'm Elliot , I'm 20 and a student from Hollyoaks.

Steve : Great! Now when you're ready ..

Elliot : Erm hello, well yes, I'm Elliot & I am very interested in UFO's and aliens. I like wearing these hats. They're very comfortable. Ermm .. my flat mate is a bisexual cross dresser & the other is a Scouser. Ermm .. did i mention I like UFO's? And aliens. Well yes , ermm that's me.

Steve : Thanks Elliot. Now if we could just have a few words on why you'd like to appear on the show.

Eliiot : Why? .. Why I'd like to appear.. Oh , well, you know , I think it would be a very good experience. Good fun. New friends. That sort of thing.

Elliot returns to the flat where Zak, Kris & Sarah are all sitting eagerly on the sofa. As soon as he comes through the door they all begin to bombard him.

Zak : Were you geek enough then?

Kris : When do you find out then?

Sarah : How did it go?

Kris : Did you make any geek pals?

Zak : Was it full of super geeks?

Sarah : Did you do OK?

Elliot : Woah, woah. I may be a bit of a geek but I'm afraid I Can only handle one question at a time.
Zak, I believe I was probably geek enough and yes there were many other people like me there too.
Kris, I find out shortly and I did not make conversation with anyone else.
Sarah, I really don't know.

Sarah : Oh Elliot, you'll have done brilliant. Hey I hope you still remember us when you're on the telly.

Zak : Yeah, no ditching us for like , Lindsay Lohan.

Kris : I doubt it

Elliot : I couldn't agree more Kris. It's only a reality TV show, broadcast weekly in the afternoon. I highly doubt any fame spanning from it & I don't want any thank you very much.

Sarah : So how about a drink to celebr...

The phone rings and everyone makes a grab for it ....

Steve : Hello it's Steve Carter here, producer of Beauty & The Geek. Is this the Scouser? Or the bisexual cross dresser.

Kris wrenches the phone out of his hands.

Kris : Cross dresser here. Hello, hello, is it me your looking for?
Oh no, you want Elliot.

Elliot pulls the phone out of Kris's hands,

Steve : Elliot , finally . *laughs* So you were telling the truth about your flatmates.

Elliot : Yes, unfortunately.

Zak : Speakerphone's on.

Elliot : So... what were you after Mr Steve , sir.

Steve : Please just call me Steve. Well we decided to ring you straight away. We do this with the people we're 100% sure either way of. Well Elliot, we'd like you to come back for a call back next week. There's a hurry to start the series so we need to get the contestams as soon as possible.

Elliot : Next week? Oh ,wow.

Steve : I'll get Penny to give you the details. Lots of people to ring

Kris : Well

Sarah : I

Zak : Pancakes!

All 3 of them look to find him happily eating pancakes.

Sarah : *raises eyebrows* So ... how about that drink.

Everyone stops paying attention to Elliot as he turns the speaker phone off.

Zak : You really need to try one of these pancakes.

Kris : Shut up!

Elliot : Guys..

Sarah : You've got syrup all over the place!

Zak : They're so light and fluffy!

Elliot : Guys...

Kris : You are actually unbelievable Zak

Zak : Mmodfsfphh

Sarah : Don't talk with your mouthful!

Kris : He's from Liverpool, what do you expect!

Elliot : Guys!

Zak : What's that supposed to mean!

Sarah : Oh god!

Elliot : GUYS!
