Kris and Jess woke up at 5 the next morning even thought they had only just got to sleep a couple of hours ago. After they had finished their love making for the night they had found it hard to sleep with what they had overheard and the trouble that their new friend could be coming up against. Jess had woke up after 30 minutes of sleeping in a cold sweat. Kris had gently reassured her that he was there and she was ok but he knew something had scared her alot. He decided he'd ask her in the morning when she wasn't half asleep.

Kris: Jess what were you scared of last night?

Jess: I had that dream again.

Kris: The Will one?

Jess: Yeh i just don't understand it. Every single time i can feel myself go to the front door and he is always there. I never not open that door. I can't get away from it. I tell myself not to open it but i always do and hes there grinning at me and then..... (Jess went silent)

Kris: Jess are you ok?

Jess: .... and then he hits me i fall to the ground and he takes out the needle and stabs me with it. It always hurts so much. i can't believe he did it you know Kris. After all this time i still dream about it.

Kris: I don't think you can get away from dreams. You have to learn to overcome them yourself.

Jess: Yeh i guess. I just wish i had never opened it. It was your fault you know. I thought it was you coming back early to surprise me so we could have a bit of time to ourselves.

Kris laughed.

Kris: Sorry its not my fault im so irresistable is it?

Jess: Anyway are we going to tell Laura.

Kris: Yes.

Kris and Jess left the room and went to the kitchen. Laura of course was not up since it was 5 in the morning but they made breakfast and sat not saying a word to each other for a whole hour until they heard a door creak open. Laura came sleepily out of her room and walked to the kitchen.

Laura: Your both up early.

Kris: We couldn't sleep.

Laura: Nor could i.

Kris: Laura we heard your conversation with Rhys last night. Why didn't you tell us.

Jess: We would understand Laura we have been through alot together with Will and things. We are just worried.

Laura stood motionless and silent.

Laura: You know about my sister?

Kris: Yeh we are both really sorry to hear it but it wasn't your fault. Maybe clearing your mind would do you some good.

Laura: You won't tell anyone will you. Please. I never told anyone and i didn't mean to and... ( Laura broke down crying)

Jess and Kris took her over to the sofa and Jess sat comforting her whilst Kris made her a cup of tea and got her a protein bar out of the cupboard. He put them on the coffee table next to her then sat beside Jess. Neither of them said a thing whilst she cryed into Jess's arms.

Laura eventually began to calm and realised how loucky she was. She had known the two people next to her for about 2 days now and she already felt more close to them then anyone she had met before. That was excluding Rhys of course. She would have to talk to him later but for now she needed to settle things once and for all with Alex and she needed her friends there with her in case things went wrong.

Laura: Thanks Jess and Kris i... you've been better friends to me in the last two days than my mates i have known for years ever have.

Jess: Well i should think so too we stick together no matter what.

Kris: Again im going to say im irresistable so no wander im a good friend.

Jess and Laura both raised their eyebrows and Laura started eating the protein bar that Kris had placed in front of her. Once she had finished eating she looked at Kris and Jess. She knew what she was doing. She was suspicious as to whether they would tell or not but as if reading her mind Kris spoke.

Kris: We won't tell Laura. We know you would never of meant her any harm. Your secrets safe with us.

Jess nodded in agreement.

Laura: Thanks but look i have to go and find Alex right now. Would you come with me?

Kris: Thought you would never ask. But on one condition. We are not going on your motorbike.

Laura laughed and grinned.

Jess: You are such a wussy.

Kris: Who said anything about being a wussy i just didn't want to mess up my hair.

Again Laura laughed and they all treked out the door to find Alex.
