Okayy, so i hope this is okay =]!!

Lucy came to the door and opened it. Jess followed her in, closing the door behind her. Lucy sat back down on the floor, her legs crossed. Jess came and joined her.

“You alright?”, Jess asked, almost automatically. She knew what the answer would be, for she was feeling exactly the same, but she felt the need to break the silence. Lucy didn’t respond in any way, Jess just watched as her little sister breathed in and out. Lucy placed her left elbow on her left knee, and proceeded to place her head upon her left hand.

“I see your room hasn’t changed much”, Jess said, looking round the room. The last time she had been back here was at Lucy’s 4th birthday.
“Mummy did it for me”, Lucy said, for once speaking, without the giggles and the pauses. As she spoke, she sounded sad, but also a lot older than she was.
“Do you want to do our new room the same?”, Jess asked, edging closer to Lucy
“No. Because then it’ll remind me of mummy”, Lucy replied

Jess could feel herself welling up, but Lucy didn’t seem to even blink. Lucy’s voice as not breaking and the tears were not flowing. Jess wasn’t sure if this was a good, or a bad thing.

Jess was now at a loss at what to say to Lucy. She wished someone was in there with her, Angela, Elliot. . . Kris. Jess’ thoughts were interrupted by a large sob, followed by several more. It seemed to have finally hit Lucy.

“Mummy and d-daddy aren’t c-c-coming back, are they?”, She said between sobs.

Jess felt the tears prickle her eyes and burn as they raced down her cheeks. She placed her arms round Lucy and rested her head on Lucy’s. It was an emotional moment, but both girls needed it.

Poor Lucy.
That was more than ok.
Its brilliant.
So glad to see more, i think you got Lucys emotionas just right.

Dont worry about writtng about Lucy because from my experience of little kids they dont always react straight away to things. Its like when a baby falls over they just tend to sit there then cry after a while.

They stayed in each others arms for a further 10 or so minutes. Jess didn’t want to move, but eventually, she released Lucy, once the sobs from Lucy had subsided.

“Thank you”, Lucy said tearfully, looking up at Jess.
“What for?”, Jess asked, just as tearfully, “You’ve got nothing to thank me for sweetie”

Lucy took in a few breaths and went silent, again, looking around her room.

“I don’t want to move it all”, Lucy began. “It might upset mummy”

Jess was about to answer, but Lucy continued, her voice sad and quiet again.

“But I don’t want to leave anything here, cos it’ll get lonely. Daddy never liked being lonely”, Lucy said, her eyes glazing over again. Jess was slightly shocked at Lucy’s response, but she decided she’d let Lucy talk. Lucy however, did not carry on, but got up off the floor, climbed onto her bed and placed her head on her pillow. She beckoned to Jess, then rolled over so her back was facing Jess, then closed her eyes and put her thumb in her mouth. Jess got up and climbed onto the bed too, cuddling up to Lucy and placing an arm over her.

Jess felt her self drop off, and she felt Lucy relax against her, telling Jess that Lucy too was asleep. When Jess finally woke up, she found Angela sitting at the end of Lucy’s bed.

“Have a nice sleep?”, Angela asked softly, smiling. Jess sat up and rubbed her eyes, careful to not disturb Lucy.
“How long have I been out?”
“An hour or so. You and Lucy had a chat?”
“Kind Of. Well, more like a cry”
“You needed it” ,Angela said, “Lucy definitely did. Did she say what she wants to take with her?”
“Nothing. Everything”
“What?”
“She said she didn’t want to move anything but she doesn’t want to leave anything either, she doesn’t want it to be lonely”

Angela’s smile faded, “She said that?”
“Yeah. Angela, do you think she’s okay?”

Angela scooted up the bed so she was next to Jess and she put her arm round Jess’ shoulders, rubbing her back as she did so.

“I think she’ll be fine. It’ll take time though. But she has you, and that’s what is important now. Just make sure she knows she’s not going to lose you too”
“She won’t”
“I know that, but she doesn’t, and it’s her that needs to know, okay?” Angela said sympathetically.

Lucy stirred, rolled over but remained asleep.

“She’ll be fine”, Angela whispered, “She’ll be fine . . .”

Last Bit For Tonight

But WILL be more tomorrow, i promise lol, and maybe even some of my others, not sure yet . . . =]!!
