Right..so because Life On Mars has finished I thought I would start a new Kress fic.
Anyway it starts off a bit complicated but hopefully it will all become clear soon!! By the way Kris and Jess don't know eachother and Kris doesn't wear women's clothes (Sorry it's just it won't fit in with his character in the story).

“I have to get this one, it’s been three months. It’s just not right if I don’t!!”

“Look Kris…Tony is a clever man he knows what he is talking about and he knows when it is the right time. You will get your turn soon just be patient, okay”

“Just suck up to him then why don’t you!!” laughed a nervous looking Kris.

The two men walked down the white corridor into the big dark boardroom. They had done this on many occasions but this time was more important for the two men. Kris had hopes that this was his time to show his boss and the others what he could do. He felt like he needed to prove himself to them.

A grey haired man sat at the table in front of them on his big black chair. Four cigars where laid out neatly on the table along with some important documents labelled “Confidential”.

Kris ran his hand through his hair and sat down on a seat opposite the older looking man.

He waited patiently for the verdict.

Looking through a Dusty Mirror


“Look I’m going to tell you guys straight…This is an important task!! It’s bigger than anything we’ve done before. So I’m going to involve you all in this mission”

Kris seemed to relax in his chair. Maybe this wasn’t going to be his time to shine but he didn’t mind the idea of being part of a team. That’s what he signed up for anyway.

All those months ago Kris was a just an average student minding his own business when Jonathon had approached him.


“Watch were you’re going!! Arggh”
The man holding the briefcase seemed to scatter off quickly after his warning from an angry looking Kris.
“That sort him” muttered Kris to himself.
He had a hot cup of coffee in one hand and in the other was his portfolio.
He carried on walking cursing to himself as he walked through the university corridors. Let’s just say Kristopher wasn’t in the best of moods. The art student was sulking and was most certainly not a happy bunny. Kris should have been pleased, he only had a few more days until his summer break but the issue of going back home to visit his parents had put him in a bad mood.

“Excuse me” a middle aged man in a black suit approached Kris. To an onlooker this strange sort of man would have appeared to be some sort of criminal. But that didn’t faze Kris, he was in an awful mood and he didn’t care who knew.
“Excuse me” repeated the man once more.
“I heard you the first time, now what do you want?” spat a somewhat annoyed Kris.
“Listen Francis...”
“It’s Kris!!” he interrupted.
“Sorry Kris…Look take this card and call the number on the front. We can’t talk here” the man looked around at the crowds of students walking through the busy corridor. “It will all be explained to you on the phone, okay?”

Kris seemed bewildered by what this well dressed man was talking about. How did he know his name? He looked down at the small card he had be given and read the details on it.
He placed the card in his pocket and looked up from where he was standing. The man had gone; he had disappeared from Kris’s view. There was no point even trying to look for him in these crowds.
Kris carried on walking with his mind full of thoughts.


It had been a weird encounter for the then 22 year old. But these days it seemed like Kris the now 23 year old man had changed quite a lot. He seemed to know what he was going to do with his life, it wasn’t like he had it all planned out but he knows his goals in life. Kris had grown up a lot in a short space of time.

“Don’t look so nervous Kris, you too Lewis. I’m not about to drop some heavy load on you” smiled Tony from his chair. He was now smoking one of the cigars from the table.

“Take one of these you three” he pointed to the remaining cigars. “This is going to be a long meeting…I would have offered you one Danielle but I thought that smoking was below you”

“It is!! A dirty habit that’s should be banned and Kris don’t think you’re coming anywhere near me tonight when you’ve been smoking one of those” she said referring to the chunky brown cigar that Kris was smoking on.

Danielle was the sort of woman that women would call a “Bi?tch. When men would say the opposite she was a stunning young woman. Filled with class and sophistication. She even dressed that way. Today Danielle was fronting a dark red, well fitted dress that stopped just above her knee. It was all designer labels for this lady.

“Okay… I don’t want any disagreements in my palace kids” Tony looked Danielle straight in the eye just like a father would do to his naughty teenage daughter.

“We have business to be dealt with and the wife wants me back early tonight so I’m not stopping for anyone. This task as I said is going to include all of you. You will all have important rolls to play in this game”

The “Team” consisted of…

Tony - The Boss (What ever he says goes!!)

Jonathon - Tony’s right hand man (Tony’s slave)

Lewis – The Gambler (The one that takes the stupid risks)

Danielle – The Only girl in the group (This one can charm her way out of and in to any situation)

Kris – The Newbie (Basically the new one)
