Chapter 1

Zoe was going around the flat cleaning whilst Darren was sat on the sofa with his feet on the table reading the paper. “Darren you could help me you know.” Zoe said
“Do we have to have this dinner?” Darren asked
“Yes. It’ll only be the six of us because Carmel and Tony didn’t seem to want come.”
“So they’ll be me and you, Nancy and Jake and who are the other two?”
“Kris and Jess.” Zoe told him
“But isn’t this suppose to be a sort of couple thing. The last time I checked they were far from being an item.”
“Yeah but that’s because I haven’t worked my magic yet.” Zoe told him
“Well this is going to be one interesting evening. Knowing Kris he’ll throw some sort of tantrum then Jess will get mad at him and then he’ll throw a hurtful insult at her and she’ll go running of crying.”
“Darren you don’t know that. Those to are destining to be with each other they just need a little bit of a push.”
“Zo baby they won’t thank you for meddling.” Darren pointed out
“They will do… eventually.”

Fab start and yeah I think they will thank her eventually if all goes to plan.

Chapter 2

Zoe, Nancy, Jake, Darren and Kris were all sat in the lounge. Jess hadn’t showed up yet. Zoe and Nancy were sat chatting as were Zak and Darren but Kris sat on his own. When Jess was over half an hour late Kris excused himself and went and rang her in his room.

“Jess where the hell are you?” Kris asked angrily
“sorry I got held up.” Jess told him
“Well could you get down here please. I’m sat in there like gooseberry and I’m on the verge of tears I’m so bored.”
“okay I’m on m way. I don’t know why you agreed to this in the first place.”
“Well I had had a few at the time anyway will you please get yourself down here.” Kris said irritated
“Don’t worry I’m outside.”

Kris and Jess hung up and it wasn’t long before Jess walked in. She said a quick hello and went to Kris who was still in his room waiting for her. “Hello sexy.” Jess said as she walked in. Kris smiled as he stood up and hugged her.
“You do realise that Zoe is plotting to get us together.” Kris said
“If only she knew her work was done for her.”
“Yeah but it’s more fun this way don’t you think?”
“oh definitely.”
“I think we should have bog argument during the meal.”
“we can’t do that.”
“we do normally and they are probably anticipating for a massive argument so it would be a shame to disappoint.”
“okay I suppose a small argument would be good.”

They are so sly, but I love it.

Jess and Kris walked in. Kris sat down on the sofa and Jess nearly went to sit directly beside him but then moved and sat on the other end. Everyone else was chatting away and Jess and Kris remained silent although there was the odd time where they quickly smiled at one another.

When Zoe put out the food Jess and Kris sat opposite each other at the table. Kris poured the wine. “Can’t I have a beer instead Zo?”
“we haven’t got any.” Zoe told him
“why don’t I go to the shop and get some?”
“No your staying here.” Zoe said
“Just let him go. He obviously doesn’t want to be here.” Jess added
“says the girl who turned up over half an hour late.” Kris replied angrily
“Don’t start we have guests.” Zoe pleaded
“He started it.” Jess said
“grow up Jess.” Kris replied

After the meal they all sat back down and everyone apart from Kris and Jess were chatting. Jess suddenly got up and went into her room. She sat down on her bed and got her phone out and text Kris, ‘meet me at the park. I’ll be there in 10.’

Kris smiled as he read the text. “whse the text from?” Zoe asked
“erm Nathan he wants to meet up.”
“I thought he ended that ages ago.” Zoe said
“yeah but we’re thinking of starting something up again so wish me luck guys.”
Kris left.

Eventually Kris and Jess went back but of course separately so as no one suspected anything. When Kris got in Zoe, who was sitting in the kitchen, looked up at him angrily.

“What?” Kris asked innocently

“As if you don’t know. You just left the dinner so as you could go and find Nathan. Do you know how much planning went into that dinner. I tried to make every little detail perfect only for you to go and leave.”

“Alright sorry.” Kris said although not very apologetically

“And if that wasn’t bad enough you know how Jess feels about Nathan but you persist in rubbing her nose in it.” Just as Zoe had finished her sentence Jess came in giving Kris a dirty look

“well look what the cat dragged in.” Kris said turning away from Zoe and giving Jess a smile. Jess found it hard to keep an angry face and not smile back

“Get lost tr@nny” she shouted

“as charming as ever I see Jessica.” Kris remarked

“ Get a life.”

“I think you’ll find I’ve got one which is more than can be said for you princess”

“RIGHT YOU TWO I HAVE HAD ENOUGH” Zoe shouted at them both

“All right call down Zo.” Kris said laughing slightly

“NO I WILL NOT CALM DOWN. NOT ONLY DO YOU TWO PERSIST IN MAKING EACH OTHER’S LIVES HELL BUT YOU PERSIST IN DRAGGING DOWN EVERYONE ELSE WITH YOU AND I WILL NOT HAVE IT ANY LONGER.”

“Listen Zoe that’s just what we do. I thought you understood that by now.” Jess said

“you know what I give up. Until you two can sort yourselves out I will not utter another word to you and neither will Zak and Elliot.” Zoe told them

“suites me. I can finally get some peace and quiet.” Kris added

“sometimes I think Jess is right about you. You really are an irritating tr@nny.” Zoe said before storming out
