hope this tickles someone's fancy, i love these two and thought it'd be fun to write a fic on them. tell me what you think plz Smile

Carmel had to pinch herself to make sure this was real. Here she was, standing opposite the man of her dreams, in front of all her friends and family, ready to make the biggest commitment to the most wonderful person she could ever have met. Her hair and makeup were immaculate, her white silk gown fell to the church floor with a delicate grace only she could manage. She couldn’t stop smiling; her heart had never beaten so fast and she truly felt like the luckiest woman in the world.

“Do you, Carmel McQueen, take this man, Aleksander Malota, to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, to have and to hold, till death do you part?” the priest asked the beautiful bride.

Carmel looked from a grinning Aleksander to her family, so she could see their faces as she made her vow. “I do”, she beamed, barely containing her excitement.

The priest continued with the ceremony, “And do you, Aleksander Malota, take this woman, Carmel McQueen, to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, to have and to hold, till death do you part?”

Carmel moved her eyes back to the man she loved, waiting with baited breath for him to make it official.

Aleksander looked at his expectant bride, and calmly answered. “No. I cannot marry you Carmel. I am married to your sister Jacqui, and I love her very much. I am sorry.”

Carmel’s world came crashing down around her. Her head was spinning; she felt she was about to faint out of shock. She put her hand to her head to steady herself, but could feel her eyes close, and before she knew it, she was falling to the ground…

“Ouch!” Carmel awoke with a start: she had rolled off of the sofa and banged her head on the coffee table. As she rubbed her sore head, focusing on reality, her vivid dream came bursting through, making her feel even worse. It felt so real, she thought, saddened that it would never come true. As the pain subsided, she got up, got dressed, and went to work, trying as hard as she could to fight the fact that she was in love with her sister’s husband.

here's the next bit, hope u still enjoy

Part 2
“Do you want some coffee Carmel?” Louise asked her employee, after she’d finished a manicure.

“No ta, I’m not really thirsty” she replied. Louise noted a slight sadness in Carmel’s usually bubbly demeanour so she asked if anything was wrong. Carmel didn’t know whether to tell the truth or not, it was tearing her up inside, but she didn’t think anyone would understand. Even though she was scared of the reaction, she couldn’t keep it bottled up anymore, so she decided to tell her friend what was happening. “Well, to be honest, I’m in a bit of a tricky situation. Something’s been bothering me lately, but, you won’t tell anyone will you?”

“Me? No never, I’m a great secret keeper. So, what’s going on?” Louise enquired caringly.

“Oh Louise, I don’t know what to do,” Carmel said despairingly. “You see I think, no I know, that I’m in love with someone. He’s so lovely, he’s caring, gentle and he’s absolutely gorgeous. The thing is, he’s married. And what’s worse is he’s married to one of my best mates (and sisters she thought inwardly). I feel so terrible Lou, how could I do this to her?”

Louise didn’t know what to say at first. She couldn’t believe that Carmel could think of doing something like that to a friend. But then who was she to judge, she’d done something similar a long time ago, and remembered how Carmel must be feeling; helpless, fighting against something she couldn’t change, Louise wouldn’t wish that on anyone. “Wow, I wasn’t expecting that. Does he feel the same way about you?”

Carmel pondered this. Yesterday she had given Aleksander a hand massage at Evissa, to cheer him up since he still couldn’t find a job. She was sure she saw him looking at her a couple of times, looks that showed he may have wanted more. “Maybe, we get on so well and we always have a laugh, but I’m not sure” she answered truthfully.

“Well, I can’t condone you breaking up a marriage, but it sounds like you need to tell him how you feel. If he doesn’t feel the same, you can try and move on. If he does, then you really do need to talk to him.” Louise told her.

“But I’m scared! What if he does, what will I do then? I couldn’t stand to break her heart,” Carmel pleaded.

“I’m sorry Carm, but that’s something you’ll have to face when it happens.”

Carmel considered her options. If she told Aleksander there were two possible outcomes: a) he would reciprocate her feelings, and they could find a way to be together or b) he would reject her, tell Jacqui, and she’d be disowned by her family. If she didn’t tell him, then he and Jacqui would live happily, but she would be heartbroken, constantly wondering what could have been. Each was as difficult as the last, but Carmel knew what she had to do.

“You’re right Lou, I’ve got to tell him. I can’t hide it anymore,” she said somewhat confidently. “I just hope it all works out in the end.”

Louise gave her a reassuring smile. “Good, now how about that coffee? Perk yourself up before you go and tell him.”

“Thanks. But I might need something stronger,” Carmel said with a nervous laugh. Soon she’d be in front of Aleksander, telling him how much she loved him, and silently praying he felt the same. Even though she had no idea what would happen, she couldn’t help but feel optimistic.
