"Morning!"
"Oh hey..." I reply, distracted.
"What are you doing?"

"Reading up on Venice, I thought i'd start impressing you with my facts again."

"Really?" She giggles, placing her arms around me. "You shouldn't bother, it didn't really impress me the first time."

"Liar!"

"I'm not lying, all that bridges stuff....alot of rubbish to me."

"It was romantic!" I reply, defending my actions. "And you loved it, from what I can remember."

"Well you would say that..."

"Er, it was our Honeymoon remember?!"

"Like i'd forget..." She smiles, placing a soft kiss on my lips. "It was great, seriously."

"And the bridges thing?"

"Ok...it was very romantic..." She rolls her eyes. "You happy now?"

"Very. It's quite exciting you know?"

"What?"

"Well seeing in the New Year in a different country, it's different from what we usually do."

"I suppose..." She pulls away from me.
"Are you alright?"

"Yeah I think so...." She doesn't look alright. "Just feeling a bit sick, that's all."

"Well you are having a baby..." I smile, stroking her stomach.

"I'm not stupid..."

"I never said you were, so don't get snappy with me."

"Sorry, i'm just tired and in pain at times..."

"You'll be fine and all this, it's going to be worth it when the little one comes along."

"You're excited aren't you?"

"Yeah, ofcourse I am. Im so proud of you, you know?"

"Proud of me?"

"Don't sound surprised will you?" I joke. "I've always been proud of you."

"Do you ever stop being so soppy?"

"Hey, I can be mean and horrible if you want? Just say Princess..."

"You don't have it in you anymore." She says, smiling slightly. "You never did, not really."

For the next couple of minutes, nothing gets done because we're too busy with each other to care about anything else. It's so typical of us, which Jess points out before pushing me away from her.

"Can we go yet?" Jayden asks, appearing with his Sister.

"Yeah, we want to go now."

"Well we can't yet, it's not time to go." I tell them both. "We've still got a couple of hours."

"But, Daddy..." Olivia starts. "I'm really bored."

"I thought you were playing upstairs?"

"I was but i'm bored now, I don't want to play anymore."

"So what do you want to do then?"

"I don't know..." She shrugs.

"You just got alot of nice new things for Christmas, don't you want to play with all that?"

"No, I told you i'm bored now."

"I'm going to draw the baby a picture..." Jayden interupts, collecting his crayons.

"The baby isn't here yet!" Olivia tells him. "So you can't draw a picture."

"Hey, don't be so mean you and ofcourse he can draw a picture. We can keep it for the baby." Jess says.

"It's just stupid...."

Rolling my eyes at the kids constant bickering, I relax on the sofa and watch over them for a little while.

"Hey..." I jump to my feet when I catch sight of Jess trying to bring our case downstairs.

"Kris, I can manage.."

"Honey, you shouldn't be doing that. Here, let me..."

"I'm starting to think I just shouldn't do a thing around here. You won't let me do anything."

"Yeah, that's the way it should be. You've got enough to deal with....how are you feeling now?"

"Better." She answers, smiling.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, i'm fine. I promise."

"Good, now we should be getting picked up in about ten minutes. You've got everything, yeah?"

"I think so..."

"Well you've brought yourself, that's all that matters."

"Hmm very sweet."

"My middle name, Princess." I say and after I see the look she gives me, I chuckle lightly to myself.

"If you say so, anyway I don't know why you're bothering that i've got everything..."

"Ok so I left a few things the last time..."

"A few things?" She asks, laughing. "Kris you forgot most of your stuff, oh and the..."

"Alright, alright. I've got everything this time, I checked and double checked. Happy?"

"Very. Oh there's our cab, come on!"

With that, the kids collect there things and rush outside with Jess and i'm left to follow with everything else.

Jess' POV

After a long and tiring day of travelling, we finally arrive outside our hotel. It's nice to be back here as we've got such wonderful memories of the last time but as Kris keeps pointing out, it's different this time. Last time we were here, I was in the exact same posistion, pregnant. Only that time it was with Jayden and now this is our third baby, I still can't believe i'm saying all this. One baby with Kris was incredible, I never ever thought it would happen and now we're ready to have our third baby, it's unreal. Although even now, I find myself looking at him and I ask myself how I managed to turn that one time, arrogant idiot into someone who's so loving like he is now. Everything has helped, having the kids only drew us closer together if that was even possible. We've always been close, apart from that one time but that was a huge mistake and we never speak of it now as Kris doesn't seem to think it matters anymore, plus, it was so long ago now.

"Hey, are you just going to stand there or are you coming in?"

"What?"

"Jess, you're miles away." He smiles, placing his arm protectively around me. "Nothing troubling you is there?"

"No, not at all. It's just, being back here made me think that's all."

"Well save those thoughts for later, we've got young ones present." He grins, that cheeky grin.

"Like it's ever stopped you before!"
"Oh alright...don't start on me Jessica..."
"What have I told you about calling me that?"

"I don't know...something about not doing it or something, I wasn't really listening."

"Why doesn't that surprise me?" I roll my eyes at him. "You only hear what you want to hear."

"So not true and you know it..."

"Can you two stop it, we want to go inside!" Olivia says as me and Kris pull away from each other.

"That'll be us told won't it?" I giggle as Kris acts shocked by our Daughter's outburst.

It's another ten minutes before we're shown to our room but once we're in there it's much more relaxed. Kris, does his usual and looks about the place. I don't know why he does it, it's like he's expecting to find something....what I don't know but I have a giggle at him when his back is turned and he's going in and out of rooms.

"So Princess, what do you think?"

"Kris, it's the same hotel as last time. The rooms all look the same, this one isn't quite as special though.."

"Well I did book us into the most expensive room the last time, special occasion and all that."

"Hmm and it was." I smile.

"You're still thinking then?" He smiles back. "You've not even seen the bedroom yet..."

"Plenty of time for that Mr."

"Oh I know, I just don't think I can wait to have you all to myself!" He pulls me towards him, we kiss...

"Well..." Placing my hands on his chest, I push him back slightly. "...you'll just have to wait."

"Mrs Fisher, you're such a tease."

"I think you're forgetting that you've done enough lately."

"No..." He smiles, stroking my stomach. " I can't forget that..."

"Good, that means you can't forget why i'm pregnant in the first place."

"Oh not a chance!"

"Didn't think so. Come on, you can help me unpack.."

"Jess..." He groans as I lead him through to the bedroom. "You know I hate this bit..."

Opening our case, it looks different. I didn't pack any of this stuff, I never would. Well not when the kids are with us, last time was different, we were on our own.

"Did you pack these?!"

"Oh saucey!" He grins taking them from me. "What did you have planned for this holiday?"

"Hey, i've already told you it wasn't me."
"Well they are yours aren't they?"

"You know they are, you bought them as a Christmas present. One which I opened infront of my Parents!"

I was so mortified. You'd think Kris would have the sense to keep those sort of presents until after the Christmas dinner but he didn't that year and silly me opened the very revealing underwear infront of my Mother and Father. They were that shocked they nearly choked on Christmas dinner and I was so mortified I had to leave the room until my cheeks returned to their normal colour, which took a while too! I never spoke to Kris for about half an hour after that, I actually didn't know what to do apart from hide myself in my room which then meant I missed most of Christmas dinner, which Kris will probably reply that it was worth it. Just like he always does.

"You can put them on later!"

"Give them to me..." I try not to smile at his suggestion, as I snatch them from him. "Anyway, they won't fit now!"

"Oh right, well we could always go with the not wearing them at all."

"You're doing my head in."

"See that wasn't a no there." He grins, sweeping my hair away so he can kiss my neck. "So, later?"

"I'm not wearing them!"
"You look great, I remember from last time!"

"Kris, i'm pregnant. I wasn't when you bought me them."

"You'd still look great."

"Do you ever give up?" I ask. Stupid question because I already know the answer.

"No, ofcourse not. So give them to me and i'll keep them here for later."

"I'm quite capable of putting them away, thankyou. You're not tempted are you?"

"Tempted?"

"Well you could always model them on yourself, I know you used to!"

"Hmm, well those days are well and truly behind me. So, you've got no chance. Even though I know you'd love it!"

"Don't think so..." I reply, brushing past him with a slight smile.

"Come off it, you would!"

"Well if you think i'd love it so much, maybe you should...you know..."

"See, you're just saying it because you want me to do it so much!"

"I'm not!"
"You are!"
"Bloody hell Kris, it's just underwear!"

"Which i'm not putting on!" He laughs. "I'm sorry Jess, I know you loved it and everything but I can't....not now.."

"You're so full of it."

I end up leaving the unpacking due to his hassling and go into the main room where the kids are but they want to go out and take a look around, so after getting myself together, that's exactly what we do.

"Oh come on Jess..."
"I'm not getting on that thing, again."
"Why not?" I ask. "You didn't complain much last time."
"That was different." She says.
"Why Mummy?"
"Never mind sweetie. Why don't we get back eh?"
"No, I want to go with Daddy. It looks fun!" Olivia grins and runs to me.
"See, looks like you have no choice Princess." I smile smugly. "Shall we?"
"Oh if we must!"

You can't come back here and not go on the Gondola again, especially not after last time. I plan on doing alot of things on this holiday and bringing Jess back on this was only one of them. She wasn't really keen, well she was pretending not to be but really she wanted to. I can tell now, the smile on her face as the kids ask questions tell me everything I needed to know. The whole conversation we had on one of these the last time, I can tell she's thinking about it just as much as I am.

Just thinking about it puts a smile on my face, that whole week was one that i'll never forget. It doesn't surprise me that I can remember things like that so clearly, everything I do with Jess and the kids stay in my mind and it will remain like that forever.

"Why is there lots of bridges?" Olivia asks, her confused little face turning to Jess.

"Ask Daddy, he thinks he knows everything about this place."

"Oi cheap shot!" I reply, why is it always me who gets left with the questions? "There just is sweetie, it's for something special.."

"Special?"

"Yeah, like everytime we go under one...you're supposed to kiss the person you love."

"Yuk!" She pulls a face. "I know you only came on this so you can kiss Mummy!"

"Hey, I did not!"
"You did."

"Olivia, believe me darling...I don't have to get your Mummy on here to..."

"She's got you worked out, just admit it." Jess smiles, happy that our Daughter seems to have me sussed.

"Jay, you alright there mate?" I turn to Jayden, completely ignoring the girls who seem to enjoy winding me up. It's like a tag team half the time. Sometimes that makes me think again about this baby being another girl, those two have me wrapped around their little fingers as it is. I've got my work cut out. "I need you to stick up for me."

"Why?"
"Because Olivia and your Mummy seem to like ganging up on me. How about us two boys show them who's boss eh?"
"Are we the boss?"
"Yeah, course we are. Boys are always better than girls...they just like throwing tantrums and stuff.."

"Olivia does all the time." He says, I laugh knowing she has had her fair share. "Like when you took me out and not her."

"I told you mate, it's just girls. It's all about attention, they've always got to be centre of it."

"What's that?" Jess interupts, obviously catching the last part of the conversation.
"Oh nothing, it doesn't matter.."

"You're wrong you know. It was always you who had to be centre of attention before.."

"Yeah right."

"It was, everyone said it and everyone knew it. One of the things I didn't really like about you.."

"Oh thanks!" I laugh. "Anyway, never stopped you jumping into bed with me did it?"
"Suppose not...but you're definately not the same Kris as the one at College..."
"Which, by the tone of your voice, is a good thing."
"Oh definately. I mean, you're still an idiot just not as big a one as you were then."

"You know when I married you, i'm sure I didn't sign up for all this." I joke and pull away from her grasp.

"Oh i'm only teasing you, I love you really."
"Good, i'd like to think you still do. I mean, we have..."
"Kris.." Pulling me forward she silences me with a kiss. "..shut up."
"Charmin."

"Well you're blabbing on and on, it's the only way to shut you up. You're not complaining are you?"

"No ofcourse not...but looks like i'm going to have to kiss you back now.."

"Kids are here." She smiles, resting her head on my shoulder.
"So?"

"So, I remember your 'kisses' from last time. A bit too much don't you think?"

"Well I didn't think so, neither did you at the time. You couldn't get enough of me, Princess!"

"It was our honeymoon, we were allowed to be..." She pauses remembering the kids are here. "..well you know."

I realize I could make this a tricky situation for her as Olivia did tune in for a while before something else caught her attention. Ofcourse, I know what she's meaning but sometimes I like to push my luck. Thankfully I know, from previous situations, when to stop. I can only push it so far before I have to stop.

"It's tradition..." I say out loud, whilst thinking the same thing.
"So?"

"We have to do it, show that nothing has changed between us since the last time we were here."

"You take this whole thing too seriously..." She laughs. "..I keep expecting you to pull out that little tour guide thing.."

"I left it in the room." I reply which makes her giggle more. "Hey, don't laugh at me. It's not funny."

"Sorry...i'm sorry, it's just you...the change in you.."
"I thought it was a good change?"
"Oh it is.."
"You brought about the change in me."
"I don't know how to take that."
"Take it how I mean it." I reply, brushing my lips against hers. "It's a good thing."

Fairly satisfied with my answer, she pulls herself across so we're sitting closer together. Truth be told, I don't think we could be sitting any closer. She sits with her back to me, much like she did the last time and again I place both arms around her protectively. Ofcourse, right now she doesn't have to be protected from anything but that's never stopped me before. We sit in silence, taking everything in, i'm not so much in the mood for talking now. I place one gentle, loving kiss on her cheek then keep quiet for the rest of the way.

Jess' POV

After our little trip today we got back to the hotel later in the night and it seemed to really tire the kids out. They've been in the main room with Kris for over an hour now, while I try to finish unpacking which I would have completed before if it wasn't for Kris and his interuptions. For a little while, I could hear them all messing about, Kris teasing them like he usually does but Olivia always giving back as good as she gets. She's always been so much like him, sometimes more than I thought I knew. Smiling as I pack away the rest of our things, I leave the empty case by the bed and leave the room, flicking the light off as I go.

When I get to the main room, it's quiet and I see why. He's almost asleep himself as both Olivia and Jayden are at each side of him. I knew they'd sleep early, like I said, today tired them out. It tired Kris out too by the looks of things. I stand in the doorway, quite happy watching over the three of them for a few seconds but it's short lived when his eyes flicker open, he wasn't sleeping afterall.

"Stop it."
"What?" I reply innocently as I step into the room.
"You know what Princess.You watching over me."
"Sorry, I can't help it."
"Nah I suppose not. I mean, i'm that gorgeous even i'd stare at me."

"Funny!" I pull a face at him. He can be so big headed at times. "We best put the kids to bed."

"Looks like our trip tired them out. Here, you sit and relax..I can carry them through."

Doing as i'm told, I sit myself down and wait for Kris to rejoin me. It's New Years night and no matter how special the last one is, the next one that comes along is just as good. Ok, this year is probably the most up and down one we've ever had since being together but this new one is a chance for us to put all the bad stuff behind us and make sure it's behind us properly. Ofcourse, Kris as already marked this upcoming year as one of the best and even though we're still an hour or so away from it, I know why that is.

I catch sight of him leaving the kids room and I break away from my thoughts.

"Kris, come and sit with me."
"Just a second Princess..."

"What are you doing?" I laugh slightly, I bet he's got no idea what he's looking for.

"Just looking..." He pauses for a moment. "..found it!"
"A blanket, have you gone mad?"

"No, why?" He throws it over me, then climbs inside. "There, we don't have to move now. We're settled."

"You might be, I need the loo."
"Again?"
"Yes, again. I am pregnant you know?"
"I do know..." He gently kisses me before allowing me to get up. "..don't be long."

I hurry to the bathroom but on my way there I catch sight of the underwear Kris so very kindly brought for me. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to see if they still fitted ok and he was pushing his luck earlier, trying to get me to wear them. Plus, the look on his face when he notices, it'll be priceless. So after a few minutes of getting myself changed, I pull my dressing gown from behind the door and place it around me for now before I settle myself back down next to him.

"A new year..." I sigh happily and cuddle up to him.
"Hm, you look nice."
"Kris, i'm ready for bed. I look awful, i've not even got my face on and..."
"You don't need all that. You look beautiful, don't argue with me."

I smile into his chest, Kris would always say that. Say that i'd look amazing even if I thought I looked a complete mess. Sometimes I didn't think he meant it but I know he does now.

"We've really been through it this year haven't we?" I say thoughtfully.
"You do this every year."
"What?"
"Think about what's happened over the year, you do it all the time."
"Yeah well sometimes it's nice to remember the good things that happened."

"Well I suppose it's Christmas for me and finding out about the baby. That was special."

"And the not so good things?" I turn to him.

"You don't have to talk about all that, it's behind us now and I promise it'll stay there."

Pulling him tighter, I close my eyes over and stay silent for a while. I catch sight of the time on his watch and see it's forty five minutes until the new year comes in. He's also got his eyes closed over, so I decide to surprise him with a kiss that'll wake him up and sure enough it works. He ends up throwing the blanket he got for us onto the floor, claiming it was getting in the way which made me giggle and pull back from him.

"Kris, not here."
"Why not..." He asks sticking out his bottom lip as he starts to pull at the ties on my dressing gown.

"I just don't want to...I don't feel comfortable.."
