Leah is now 16yrs and Amy is 32
they till live in the dingy cancel flat from when leah was a baby.

it's leah's first day back at skool since ste died in a car crash.
Amy is sat on the couch watching tele and eating a piece of toast, leah comes out of her room pics up her skool bag.

Leah: i'm goin now
Amy: ok bye

as leahs walking to skool she hears someone shout her name, she turns round to see who it is but can't see anyone so carrys on walking. 2 mins later a boy jumps at her from behind.

Boy: BOO!!

Leah: AAAH!!!
Boy: Your face (laughing)
Leah: Jay, that wasn't funny.
Jay: it so was

Jay: i've missed you not being at skool

Jay and Leah chat as they walk to skool
10 mins later they arrive

registration bell rings leah didn't know where to go as it was a new term and skool year.

the girls laugh, ruby chucks her phone back at her then they leave.

later that day Leah is walking home after skool, leah heres someone shout her name turns round, it's chloe.

20 mins later Leah gets home and heres Amy crying in her room and goe in.

that evening amy is tidying leah's room when she finds the letter about parents evening in the bin.
amy goes through to leah who's watchin tv in the lounge.

Amy: whats this? (holding it up)
Leah: erm i don't know a piece of paper
Amy: it's a letter for parents evening, why didnt you give it to me?
Leah: why did you just ask me what it was when you knew?
Amy: don't be cheeky
Leah: i'm not, i just forgot what it was and chucked it in the bin.
Amy: o right, i'm coming to parents evening on thursday so tell your teacher.
Leah: ok

3days later, its thursday mornin
leah takes her breakfast in bed.

Leah: mum wake up
Amy: what leah?
Leah: mum wake up, i made you breakfast.
Amy: leave it there i'll have it in a minute
Leah: mum (shaking her to waker her)
Amy: ok ok ok

amy sits up leah gives her the breakfast

leah: i've got to go skool now so see you later, bye

amy eats her breakfast and drinks her orange juice that leah made for her a little after amy falls back to sleep.

Leah: i spiked mums drink with sleeping pills when i gave her breakfast, that should keep her for a few hours.

4 hours later Sarah is banging on the door of the flat.

Amy: ok, ok, i'm coming,god what is all the noise about

amy opens the door

Sarah: finaly, you were suppose to met me 2 hours ago.
Amy: what sorry, i must of fallen back to sleep after leah gave me my breakfast, Which was wierd coz she normally doesn't give bring me breakfast in bed.
Sarah: maybe she's up to something
Amy: well they is parents evening later, why wouldn't she want me to go?
Sarah: i don't know maybe she's been misbehaving.
Amy: do you want a cuppa?
Sarah: yes please

Sarah goes to sit down at the table then spots the sleeping tablets on the table.

Sarah: do you normally keep sleeping tablets out on the table like this.
Amy: no wh......(sighs)...thats it, she's must of put some in my breakfast this morning.
Sarah: what you gunna do?
Amy: get my own back, she doesn't want me to go to parents evening because she's ashamed of my job, so i'm going to embaris her like anything. (with a smirk on her face)

later that day, it's last lesson before parents evening starts

all of a sudden jay runs into the class

teacher: erm excuse me

jay takes leah to the gates where they is a group of boys
from inside that group of boys leah heres amy's vioce.

leah barges through the crowd, leah stands infront of her amy who is only wearing black bra and knickers with suspenders and a thin black sexy dressing gown.

Amy: hi (covering up because she reconises him from somewhere but can't remember where)
Mr Andrews: leah is a very good worker but has started lacking a little, i understand why but last yr was unacceptable.

leah's thoughts: oh no, please don't tell her about me truanting.

Amy: What do you mean, last year
Mr Andrews: Leah's work was very poor and she talked alot and mostly always had her mobile out texting and wouldn't put it away.
Amy: oh right, (turns to leah) What have i told you about that phone.
Leah: yeah i'm sorry about that, it was when dad wasn't very well, please don't be angry, i just cared for him thats all.
Amy: o right, no i'm not angry.

Mr Andrews: thats it just improve at your homework and try and hand it in on time.

Leah nodds her head

Mr Andrews: you have a assignment comeing up on monday, go home get to samples of DNA, 1 from your mum and 1 from your dad put them into 2 seperate plastic bags, get 1 of your parents to sign the letter i have just givin to you and bring both the samples and the signed letter in on monday.


after class leah sneaks out of skool and goes to sarah's.

Sarah: hi leah, can i help you?
Leah: can i borrow some money?
Sarah: why, hasn't your mum got any?
Leah: yeah but i havent got quite enough for the dress and shoes i want
Sarah: how much you asking for?
Leah: Erm about £100
Sarah: you better pay me back.
Leah: thanks (hugging her)

Leah leaves
she gets outside sarah's appartment and pulls the other £100 out of her pocket looks at the cash and smiles.

later that day leah has just finished getting ready for the party she comes out her room and stands in the doorway of the lounge.

Amy looks up from reading her magazine to see her daughter standing there in a silk red holterneck dress which just reaches the top of her knees and in gold strap on high heels.

Amy: wow, you look beautiful, you got that for only £100.
Leah: yeah (lying to her when it actually cost £200 for both the dress and the shoes)

Amy: okay, have fun and don't get to drunk, and what ever you do don't sleep with anyone.

leah goes to the party

knocks on the door

Chloe lets her in.

they go into the lounge

leah: my head, what happened last night i cant remember a thing
Katie: you were so drunk, no wonder you can remember a thing

later that leah is back at home, she suddenley remembers about her science assinment, she goes into her mums room and takes a piece of hair from her amy's brush and then spots ste's come on the amy's dressing table and gets a peice of ste's hair and puts it in a separete bag. then goes into the kitchen were amy is cooking tea.

Leah: mum can u sign this for me
Amy: what is it?
Leah: its for my Science assinment
Amy: grabs a pen next to here and signs the form without reading it. and hands the form back to her.

the next day leah is in science and everyone is testing their samples they brought in.

Mr andrews gets another test and tests ste's dna to leah's again and it comes up negative again.

Leah: what, i dont get it, my dad's ste.
Mr andrews (billy): leah we have done the test twice and both are negative, thi means ste is't your dad.
Leah: who is then.
Mr Andrews: thats something you should ask your mum when you get home.

on the way past Mr Andrews (Billy) picks a hair of leah's coat with her noticing.

10 mins later the bell rings for home time. when everyone is out the class Billy tests his Dna with leah's and it comes up possitive.

billy is stunned.

Leah runs out of the classroom, out of skool and home.

Billy: don't worry she stayed at mine last night but i told her she has to go back to yours tonight.

Billy: i didn't chuck her out, i wouldnt do that to my child.
Amy: well you've changed your tune, when i told you i was pregnant you didnt want to now.
Billy: i was young and i didnt realise you were telling the truth and i thought it wasnt mine anyway, i now she is my daughter now and i'll look after, if she wants to stay at mine again then she can but she'll have to tell you first.
Amy: okay well i don't mind her staying with you then, now i know you won't thorugh her onto the street.
Billy: Amy relax, heres my mobile number so you can call me if you are worried were she is, if she goes off again.

billy give amy a piece of paper with his number on it.

Amy: ok

Billy: i got to go in now class wil be starting shortly, bye
Amy: ok, bye, cya around.

later that day its lunch time leah is sat down on the wall talkin to Beth when she hears a car horn go, she looks over towards the horn and sees Tom (her boyfriend) in his car.

Leah: i gotta go cya laters
Beth: hey leah, where you going.
Leah: cover for me, yeah (walking up to the gate)

leah jumps into the car kisses tom and they drive off.

Leah: i've missed you so bad
Tom: missed you too.
Leah: where we goin?
Tom: well i was thinking southport
Leah: Southport, isnt that a bit far?
Tom: no, not at all.

Leah smiles

1 hour later they get to southport and park up in the car park next to the arcades on the sea front.

Leah: so what you wanna do?
Tom: what you think (touching leah's leg)
Leah: sorry i can't
Tom: why?
Leah: i'm not ready

Tom gets out the car

Leah were we going now.

Tom: just come on

leah gets out the car.
they walk up to and on the pier, when they get to the end leah looks over the side of the pier and starts feeling queezy, then throws up over the side.

Tom: are you ok babe
Leah: yeah yeah i'm fine, just a bit of stomache ace, i'll be fine in a bit.

they walk back along the pier and go into a shop leah looks at the magazines while tom goes to the counter.
5 mins later they get back to the car.
tom takes the stuff out his pocket that he just bought at the shop.

Leah: Tom whats that?
Tom: what do you think it is, it's weed, silly
Leah: Tom, since when did you start smoking that stuff?
Tom: What i like it, you want 1?(putting a splif up to her face)
Leah: eew no (pulling her face away)
Tom: fine, all for me then.
Leah: what you can't smoke that stuff now your driving!
Tom: oh yeah, watch me
Leah: Tom Cunningham what have you turned into.

Tom gets high then drives out the car park

Leah: were we going now
Tom: home
Leah: put you can't drive in that state.
Tom: well how else are we gunna get home?

leah stays quiet

20 mins later they come to a stratch of road were they are no cars about and tom starts to speed.

Leah: TOM SLOW DOWN!!!

Tom just laughs and goes faster

Leah: TOM SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN NOW.

Tom ingnores her and goes even faster
then all of a sudden a lorry comes out from nowhere and they crash into it, the car flips over and rolls down into some bushes.
when it lands top looks up.

Tom: LEAH, LEAH!!!

Leah isn't moving

Tom panics and gets out the car runs back up the bank from where the car rolled down, looks around ant tries to stop the cars which are passing, no one stops, eventually a women in a red car pulls over.

Women: can i help you?
Tom: quick, you gotta help.

the women gets out her car and follows tom down to his car.

Tom: it my girlfriend she's hurt, she's not moving.

Women: ok

the women rings for an ambulance

Women (to tom): whats her name?

Tom: er Leah, Leah Barnes
Women: ok and whats your name

tom does reply
the women turns round and tom is gone.
