Later on in the day

Annaleise is in the kitchen making some toast. Perry comes in.

A: Hi Perry
P: Yeah
A: Whats wrong?
P: Nothing.
A: There has to be something wrong come on what is it?
P: Nothing just leave me alone.
A: Fine then, Sorry.
P: Sorry, I didnt mean to snap at you.
A: Its Emily isnt it?
P: How did you know?
A: Womens intuition, and I saw the look on your face when you saw Kevin and her together this morning.
P: Fine.
A: How do you feel about revenge?
P: Why?
A: Well *intimately strokes Perrys thigh* Id be happy to get back at her with you.
P: But me and Emily arent a couple she didnt cheat on me.
A: I know, but you like her dont you, and I know she likes you.
P: What do you mean?
A: This morning when she ran off like that she didnt want to go to lectures, she doesnt even have one til this afternoon. Its pretty obvious she likes you.
P: You want me?
A: Dont you know that?
P: Ok then.
A; lets go then.

Half an hour later, Emily comes in from her alk she hear moans coming from in the bedroom, Annaleises bedroom.

Em: *thinking* Another conquest.

She sees Perry coming out the room, she is stunned.

P: Emily.
Em: Ive got to go.
P: No. Em--

Before he can finish she walks off.

A: Think we got her good?
P: No I just think I have screwed things up.

Emily is outside on the benches near drive n buy. Kevin walks over.

K: Are you ok?
Em: Ive had better days.
K: Sorry about earlier.
Em: The kiss? No worries about that one, I shouldnt have let that happen, I didnt know what was happening.
K: We are still friends though arent we?
Em; We certainly are.
K: whats going on?
Em: Its just this guy I know.
K: Perry?
Em: Yeah
K: Whats he done?
Em: Its silly really we arent a couple and this is hurting me.
K: Tell me
Em: Him and Annaleise
K:Oh.

It starts raining.

K: We should grab some shelter.
Em: Yeah I think we should.

Kevin grabs Emilys hand and leads her to the bus shelter. As they are walking there Perry comes about.

P: EMILY?
Em: Perry?
P: Can I talk to you? Please?
Em: I think that I witnessed enough.
K: Should I stay?
Em: yes.

Perry runs up and takes Emilys hand.

P: Please leave us Kev, I need to chat with Emily.
K: Ill leave you to it.

Kevin walks off.

Em: What do you want with me, you have Annaleise now.
P: I want you. I think that ever since I first saw you I wanted you.
Em: Alright.
P: I love you. it only took a stupid mistake like Annaleise for me to figure it out for sure.
Em: I love you too.
P: whats stopping us then?
Em: Everything. You killed me father.
P: You said that youd be there for me though.


Emily starts crying.

P: Whats wrong?
Em: Its Elliot.

Perry strokes Emilys face

P: What about him?
Em: It wasnt you.
P: What? what wasnt me?
Em; Murder. it wasnt you who murdered him
P: Who did it then?
Em: Elliot.

Perry lets go of Emilys face and walks back a pace.

P: You let me believe I killed him when it was him, you have no idea how much guilt I had over this summer.
Em: I'm sorry I didnt tell you I wanted to I had to protect Elliot
P: Oh him you wanted to protect but me someone youre supposed to love you have no problem with him taking the fall.
Em; Im sorry. I cant believe how screwed up this situation is.
P: You have to sort it. I have had loads of guilt over this, this summer Emz, yeah I know the guy was a devil but I thought I killed someone.
Em; Sorry.
P: No amount of sorries will sort this out between us. Im out of here.

Emily tries to grab Perrys arm he pushes her off to he ground.

P: You lied to me Emz, I thought we had the relationship where we didnt lie.
Em; Elliots my brother, I cant dob him in.
P: So its alright for me to take the blame is that what youre saying?
Em: No..
P: Who else knew? I bet Ive been some laughing stock..
Em: As far as I know no one else knows.
P: Well the police are about to find out.
Em: No please no one needs to know.

Perry looks at her anger mounting in his eyes.

P: Do you realise how many times this summer I jumped out my skin thinking that every knock on that door were the police ready to arrest me, it ruined my relationship with my girlfriend.

Em: You had a girlfriend?
P: Yes who unlike you loved me. But that torture ruined what we had.
Em: I do love you.
P: Not enough to tell me the truth though was it?
Em: You want me to choose do ya? You or my brother?
P: No thats not what Im saying if you told me earlier, I.. I mean we could have dealt with it. But you couldnt.
Em: I was scared that you might turn him in.
P: If you knew me at all then you knew I wouldnt have done that that guy deserved to die after what he did.
Em: Do you forgive me?

Perry looks at Emily seriously.

P: I can't. I wish I can but I can't Bye Emily.

Perry comes into the flat. and goes into his room, Emily in tears runs after him. She opens his door to see him packing.

Em: Dont go.
P: There is nothing keeping me here
Em: theres me
P: Not even you can keep me here, not with your OCD.
Em: What does that have to do with anything.
P: I dont know.
Em; Please forgive me

Annaleise comes in.

A: Apologise for... Perry what are you doing?
P: Im going Im dropping out, I dont belong here.
A: Emily what did you say.
Em: Nothing.
A: Whya re you apologising then?
P: Go on tell her.
Em; I cant.
P: See you are weak.
A: Hey thats harsh. Emz you dont need this. come with me we can get you cleaned up.
Em: I wont go until I tel him how I feel.
A: Tell him then.
Em: Perry

Perry ignores her.

Em: Perry

He still ignores her. She is angered at this point and she goes upto him turns him around slaps him in the face and pushes him omto the bed.

Em: Listen to me.
P: You got my attention.
Em: Im sorry about everything ok.. You are the most arrogant person I have met in my life you are fun to be with at times and youre always there for me. I love you. I love you loads, I can confide in you for everything.
P: Almost everything.
A: IS this what this is all about, she didnt tell you something and now youre angry about it.
P: Yep.
A: Pathetic. Youre pathetic. I dont know why you love him Emz if he gets into a big hissy fit about this, little thing then whats he going to be like when you do something majorly wrong.
P: Hey butt out will you, this has nothing to do with you.
A: I wont do, this girl is mad about you. You obviously are as well.
Em: Leave us Annaleise, we need a heart to heart.
A: Ok but Ill just be out here if he starts with you.

Emily sits on the bed and curls up. They sit in silence.

P: So you wanna start?
Em: youve heard what I said I have nothing more to say.
P: That slap hurt by the way.
Em: I didnt know how else to get your attention.
P: Sorry for calling you "weak".
Em: you were angry. I was going to tell you, but Elliot, I love him too you know and I cant let this ruin his life.
P: I over reacted
Em: You didnt

Perry stands up.

P: How did this get so messed up eh? I wish this could go back to how it was that first night we got to know eachother, playing cards
Em: It can be like that still though.
P: It wont be the same though Emzy.
Em: For some reason I only love that name when you say it to me.
P: Really?

Emily stands infront of him and puts her hands on his waist.

Em: It can be the same.
P: Youre making this so hard for me. I want to leave.
Em: Im not making it hard for you. If you found it easy you could have gone by now.
P: Thats a point.

They stare in one anothers eyes.

P: No I have to go.

Perry holds Emilys hands and lets go of her he grabs his bag and leaves. Emilys on the floor crying. Perry slams the door close.

Annaleise comes through the door.

A: Are you okay Sweetie?
Em: He's gone. He's really gone.
A: Sorry babe. I cant believe that I was trying to stop this.
Em: What?
A: I wanted Perry. You knew that.
Em: yeah
A: I shouldnt have done this, you could have sorted this out.
Em: This was nothing to do with what you guys did, this is about me. I cant believe he is gone.
A: Come on lets get you cleaned up I know how much this is hurting you.
Em: Thanks.

Emily and Annaleise stumble out the door Emily sees someone standing in the corridor.

Kr: Excuse me Miss Perry is my brother.

Annaleise lets go off Emilys arm and walks past kris' angry face she drags him out by his arm. Once outside the room.

K: I wanted to talk to Emily.

A: Leave her alone, do you think she has enough of your family for one night.
Kr: Youre right.
A: I know Im right.
Kr: You know Ill have a chat with her in the morning.
A: Not as long as Im there.
Kr: You dont know how tough I am.
A: Dont make me laugh youre in a dress
Kr: Dont let that fool you honey, Im tough no girls going to stop me from getting me anywhere.

As Kris and Annaleise are "talking" Perry sneakily goes back into the room.

The door opens, Perry see Emily on the sofa holding her teddy. He silently closes the door.

Em: (To her teddy) What am I going to do? Ive lost him.
P: No you havent

Emily turns.

Em: Perry? youre back?
P: I couldnt leave. I have forgotten something.
Em: And whats that?

Perry sits beside her and grabs the teddy from her hands.

P: ( to teddy) I dont think she has lost me. I love her.
Em: So what did you forget.
P: This.

Perry pulls Emily up against him and kisses her passionately. After they are done Emily rests her head on Perrys shoulders as he holds her hand

Em: So what does this mean?
P: I guess this means Im staying with you, Sorry you were meant to get rid of me.
Em: *laughs* I dont want to get rid of you just yet.

Annaliese runs to the door and sees 2 figures on the sofa.

K: Perry?
A: He came back.
K: Knew he would.
A: We should leave them to it.
K: SU?
A: Yeah.

Annleise and Kris go out to the SU.

10 minutes later, Kevin walks in. and sees Emily and Perry on the sofa kissing. The jealousy bubbles inside of him

no more upats til tomorrow unforuntely keep bumping.

Em: Kevin?
P: Hi mate.
K: You seemed pretty miffed earlier when you saw Emily. Whats with the change of heart?

Perry puts his arm around Emily,

P: Change of heart? There was only one choice in my book mate, I couldnt leave her.
K: How nice. Well Im glad youre happy. Ive got to get into my room.
Em: Why?
P: Oh Elliot wanted to see something. I have to find it.
Em: Okay.
P: want me to help?
K: No its fine. You 2 keep where you are.

Kevin goes into his room and shuts the door he grabs his laptop of his drawer top and lifts it open. he switches it on, the lights in the screen come on, he strokes the screensaver. Its a picture, a picture of Emily.

K: You never know howmuch I like you Emz, Ill have to prove it.
