I had an idea for a fic. It's probably a rubbish idea, but it sounded good when I thought of it, so here goes... It's based on the parallel universe theory. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, I'll explain: Some people think that every time you make a decision, another world is created where you chose something different. For example, say if someone was pregnant and had an abortion, in a parallel universe they would still be pregnant. Get it?
Anyway, back to the idea. I thought I could do a fic about Hollyoaks in a parallel universe (so I can make things happen how I want them to). What do people think?
I'm gonna do it on most of Hollyoaks so the students will be in it at some point. I'll have to get inspiration for that bit first though. Here's a bit I have thought of now:
(In this story some things happen at different time to when they really happened)
Rhys and Beth lay together on his bed. He watched her lie there. What did he love about her? Her personality. Her sense of humour. Her beauty. She opened her eyes and grinned at him. And her smile. Rhys: I really do love you, you know. Beth: I love you too. They kissed. Rhys: But you're OK with this? Beth: Rhys! We've been through this before! Maybe it's a bit strange, but you're allowed to marry your cousins, so it's fine. Anyway, we love each other. They kissed again, and again Rhys pulled away. Rhys: Other people might think it's wierd. Beth: Well we won't tell anyone then! She leaned forward for another kiss, and this time Rhys abandoned himself totally to her. Thank God Noel wasn't my dad!,he thought.
Amy stepped out of the way of a Mother with her pushchair. Every time she saw a baby, she wandered what it would be like to have one of her own, to hold in her arms, to tuck in bed at night, her own child... She would have had one, if it wasn't for the joy riding accident. She remembered waking up in hospital, them telling her she'd lost the baby. At first she had been pleased. She was too young to have a child. But later the dreams had come. Always the same, her holding a baby. A lovely little girl. She loved her, that was all she knew... She shook her head. There was no use thinking about it, it was over and done with now. Anyway, Sarah would have her baby soon. Then she'd be Aunty Amy! The thought made her laugh out loud. She couldn't imagine Sarah as a mum, but she was so grown up now! Mrs Dean soon, she thought.

Jess and Zoe sat together, chatting. Zoe: Darrens taking me to posh hotel in London for our anniversarie next week. Jess: Yeah. What did you think about my article for the magazine? Zoe: It was good. Darren thought... Jess tuned out. Just lately she'd had enough of what Darren thought. Jess: Do you want to go and see a film tonight? Zoe opened her mouth to reply. Jess: -Without Darren. Zoe laughed. Zoe: Honestly, Jess. Anyone would think you were jealous. Jess: Jealous? Of Darren? Anyway, why would I be jealous? I've got Kris. Zoe: Yeah. Darren thinks- Jess: -So how adout this film? Kris thinks it sounds good. Zoe laughed again. Jess: What? She shook her head. Zoe: This film sounds good. A nice girly night out. No boyfriends. Jess laughed too.
Hannah and Danny's kiss was interupted by her phone. Hannah: Hello? Melissa: Hi! Are you busy? Hannah looked at Danny on the bed next to her. Melissa: Only, me and Sarah are going out for a drink. Do you want to come? Hannah: I'd love to, but I'm busy at the moment. How about we meet up for lunch tomorrow? Melissa: I'm a model Hannah. I don't do lunch. Hannah: You're not still on a diet, are you? Melissa: I'm a model! I can't get fat. You used to understand. Hannah: Yes, until I saw how bad it was. Melissa: Modeling's all I've ever wanted to do! If I get fat thn I can't! Hannah: You can't be a model if you're dead either! Melissa simply laughed. Hannah: Any way, I've got to go now. I'll see you tomorrow, bye! Melissa: Hannah- She turned back to Danny. Hannah: Where were we?

Mercedes phoned Jacqui as soon as she got home. Mercedes: Hi. Jacqui: How did it go? Mercedes: Fine. Jacqui: Fine? Mercedes: It's doing great, Jacq, don't worry. Jacqui: It. So you don't know... Mercedes: No. I wanted it to be a surprise. Jacqui sighed. Mercedes: You Ok? Jacqui: Yeah, I've just been worrying all morning. Mercedes: Well now you know it's fine. Jacqui: Yeah. I should go and tell Tony now. After all, it's going to be his baby too. Mercedes: Bye. Jacqui: See you. Look after yourself, and the baby. Mercedes put the phone down. If only she could tell her sister the truth, that it really was Tonys baby. But she couldn't. It would kill her. At least this way everyones happy.
Ste grabbed Amys hand as she walked past him. Amy: Hey! Get off me! Ste: Nice way to greet a friend you haven't seen for a year! Amy: Because you were in prison! What are you doing back here anyway? Ste: I came to see you. Amy: Well I don't want to see you. She turned to walk away, but he grabbed her hand and pulled her back. Amy: Let go of me! Ste: I just want to talk to you. Amy: Ste, you left me for dead in that car. I lost my baby! Ste: You were sixteen Amy! You're not old enough to be a good mum. I did you a favour. Amy: Just leave me alone! She ran off, leaving Ste watching after her. she was still beautiful. He'd get her back, somehow.
Suzanne was surving at the Drive N Buy when Mike Barnes arrived. Mike: Suzanne. Suzanne: Mike. There was undisguised hostility in her gaze. Suzanne: I've told you before, I don't like you being in my shop. Mike: How many times to I have to say I'm sorry! Suzanne: More than you could ever say it! Mike: If we can't be friends, can't we at least be civil to each other? Her stare said it all. Suzanne: You nearly killed my son, just because he was going out with you're daughter! And it's only because of that that I don't report you to the police. Mike: I'm sorry! Can't we just move on? Suzanne: No. Now get out of my shop. I won't serve you. Reluctantly, Mike left his food on the counter and walked out. Suzanne watched him go.
Josh was shocked to see Amy crying as she ran towards him. He stood up. Josh: Amy, what happened? Amy: Ste's back! He put his arms around her. Josh: Did he hurt you? She shook her head. Amy: He just talked to me. He said he did me a favour killing my baby because I would have been a rubbish mum! Josh: No you wouldn't! You'd have been a great mum. One day you will be. Amy: You think so? Josh: I know so. Now come on, lets go to my house. He led her away, his arm around her shoulders.
Craig and John-Paul sat on the sofa, arms round each others shoulders. John-Paul: We shouldn't do this any more. Craig looked blank. Craig: Do what? John-Paul: See each other. Craig: Oh. But...I love you. John-Paul: We can't do it to Sarah! You're getting married soon. She having your baby! I just can't do it any more. He stood up to leave. Craig: No, don't go! At least let's talk about this. John-Paul turned back to face him. John-Paul: Ok then. Talk. Craig: I'll tell Sarah. I'll leave her for you. He shook his head. John-Paul: It's too late for that. Craig: Then can't we just go on how we are. I'm happy. Sarah's happy. You're happy. Please... John-Paul: I... Craig stepped towards him. John-Paul shook his head again. John-Paul: I can't... But then Craig was kissing him, and he was unable to resist...
Danny was the first to hear voices downstairs. Danny: I thought you said we had all day! Hannah: I thought we did! She got out of bed, and Danny couldn't help thinking how beautiful she was, with or without clothes. She opened the door a crack and looked out. Hannah: It's Amy and Josh. She turned back to Danny. Hannah: What? Danny: You're beautiful. She smiled at him and climbed back into bed. Danny: What are you doing? Hannah: They won't notice. Anyway, I've got Josh out of trouble enough times. He's not going to tell anyone...
Josh: Do you want a drink? Amy shook her head. He sat down beside her. Josh: Are you Ok now? Amy: Yeah. I just...I don't know. Can you miss something you never had? Josh: You miss your baby? Amy: Yeah. Do you think that's wierd? Josh: No. What would you have called it? Amy thought about it. Amy: Leah. If it was a girl. And Sam if it was a boy. Josh: Leah and Sam. Amy: I just wish... She let the sentance hang, unfinished. The look in her eyes spoke of many thoughts and feelings unspoken. Josh: Don't. You'll wish your life away. Just concentrate on now. She smiled. Amy: And now would be... Josh smiled back. Josh: Me. And you. With the house to ourselves. Amy: What more could I wish for?
Hannah and Danny kissed once more, then she stood up. Danny: Where are you going? Hannah: Get a drink. You want one? Danny: No, thanks. In the room next door... Amy: I'm thirsty. Josh: I'll go and get you something. What do you want? Amy: Just water please. He leaned over to kiss her, then went out of the room, straight into... Josh: Hannah! I didn't know anyone else was here. Hannah: Me neither. You on your own? Josh: Yeah. At that moment, however, Amy stuck her head round the door. Amy: Do you have...Hannah. Hannah laughed. Amy disappeared. Josh: Ok, so I'm not on my own. Don't tell mum, please. Hannah: Don't worry, I won't. Josh: Are you on your own? Hannah nodded. They both went downstairs to get drinks. Hannah turned to him as she left. Hannah: Don't make too much noise. Josh: I won't. Oh, and Hannah? She turned back again. Josh: Don't you either. He pointed to the two cups in her hands. She shook her head, and went back to Danny.

Jess sat with Kris's arm around her shoulders. She looked up from her work to watch him. He was reading something, his eyes scanning the page. Some days she thought she hated him. He could be so annoying. But other days... He looked up, and smiled. His eyes were happy, loving and sparkling with joy. He leaned over to kiss her. Other days she loved him.
Rhys and Beth giggled together over a drink. Gilly had long since left them, muttering something about how they obviously didn't want him around. They couldn't help it! Every time Rhys looked at Beth, he was over come by his desire to kiss her, to hold her, to be close to her. Beth caught his eye then looked away, blushing. Every time she looked at him she could feel herself falling in love with him a little bit more...
Sarah got to the door of her flat and let herself in. She rubbed her bump, which was getting bigger by the day. She was 30 weeks gone. She heard a sound from the other room. Sarah: Craig? In the other room John-Paul panicked John-Paul: What are we gonna say? Craig: You're my mate, you can come round any time. It's not suspicious. Sarah walked in. Sarah: Oh, hi John-Paul. Didn't know you were here. Craig came over and kissed her. It was just a quick peck, but he felt jealousy stirring inside him. He couldn't do this. John-Paul: Actually, I was just going. He left without waiting for any goodbyes.
Ste pulled his coat tighter around him, shivering as he walked. The sky had been black for hours now, and the frost around him sparkled in the light from the street lamps. He could barley feel his hands and feet, but still he walked. He longed for warmth, a place to sleep, but there was nowhere he could go. He had no family here and no friends. Perhaps it hadn't been such a good idea to come back to Hollyoaks...
Sasha lay on her bed, remebering his face, his eyes staring into hers, his lips touching her face...Her phone rang, interupting her day dreams. She looked at the display and smiled. Sasha: Hey Fletch. Fletch: Hi. Are you busy? Sasha: No. Why? Fletch: No reason. I just wanted to talk to you. Sasha lay down on her bed, preparing for a long chat. Sasha: Sounds good. Fletch: I love you. Sasha's smile grew. Sasha: I love you too, Fletch.
Jacqui looked in at the nursery. Tony came up behind her. Jacqui: It's so perfect, isn't it. Tony: It'll be even better when we've got a baby in it. Jacqui: Yeah. She turned and hugged him. Jacqui: Can you imagine it, our own little baby. Tony kissed her on the forehead. Tony: You'll be a great mum. Jacqui: And you'll be a great dad. Just because it's not really ours, it doesn't matter does it. Tony: Course not. But it is mine. Mine and Mercedes. What would you be saying if you knew that, Jacqui?
Myra: Isn't this nice, all of you together! She looked around the table. There was her Jacqui, and Tony, Mercedes, and you could just see the bump of the baby coming, Tina and Dom, Carmel, no Calvin tonight, John-Paul and little Michaela. Myra: On nights like these I fell so proud of all my girls! Carmel: John-Pauls not a girl. Myra: And John-Paul. though he's hardly with us tonight anyway. They all looked at him. He was staring into space, as he had been all evening. He picked at the nearly full plate in front of him. Michaela: Hello? Anyone there? He looked up. John-Paul: What? Michaela: You weren't listening. John-Paul: I was thinking. Michaela: What about? John-Paul: None of your buisness! Michaela: Ooh, your touchy tonight. Jacqui: Anyone'd think you were in love... He stood up and walked out. Myra: Where are you going? John-Paul: Anywhere away from my crazy family. Myra: But what about your dinner? John-Paul: I'm not hungry! He slammed the door. Michaela: What's up with him? Jacqui: Maybe he is in love.
Darren, Zoe, Jess and Kris were out for a drink. Zoe: I love your top Jess, where did you get it? Darren: Is it yours, or did you borrow it from Kris? Jess: Oh, very funny. Kris: As I'd ever be seen dead in that. Jess elbowed him in the ribs. Kris: Ow! Jess: You deserved it. She sunk down in her chair, in a mood. Zoe: Stop it! Jess: What? Zoe: Arguing! I came out to have a good time with my mates, not to listen to you two all night, and I don't know what you're laughing at Darren, because your just as bad! Darren: What did I do? Kris: You started it! Saying me and Jess wore the same clothes. Darren: You do. Kris: I- Zoe: -Shut up! Just shut up, the lot of you! There was silence. Zoe: Thankyou. Now, if we could finish our drinks without any argument, please.

Sarah watched Craig sleep beside her. He tossed and turned in the bed, moaning and mumbling. She leaned closer to him, about to wake him. She stopped, listening to him. Craig:...No...can't do this...love...John-Paul! He jerked awake. Sarah: Craig? Are you alright? He looked wildly around him, at first wandering why Sarah was beside him, and where was John-Paul? Sarah: Craig? Craig: Yeah, I'm fine. I just...had a wierd dream. Not wierd, it was great. Just me and him... Sarah: You were saying wierd stuff. Craig: Like what? He forced himself to keep calm. He could talk his way out of it... Sarah: Something about love. You can't do something? And John-Paul. Craig: Wierd. Sarah: Yeah. Craig rolled over and looked at the clock. 1:20. He groaned. Sarah: What is it? Craig: I've got an exam tomorrow. Sarah: You should get some sleep then. Craig: Yeah. Night. He rolled over and closed his eyes. Sarah lay back down beside him. She felt the baby kick, and she layed her hand on it. Soon we'll be a proper family,she thought. Me, Craig and you, little one.
In his room on the other side of town, John-Paul was also tossing and turning. Thoughts spiralled round and round his head. Craig, Sarah, Craig, the baby, Craig...
