Jess introduced Erin to the others and then took her up the two sets of stairs to her new room.

“You’ll stay here, next to Lottie okay?”

Erin nodded and the two of them sat down on the bed together. Before either of them knew it , it was lunchtime and they had missed all of the morning. Luckily it was Saturday and no one had school or anywhere to go to.

Jess had done most of the talking, Erin would speak occasionally, but Jess knew how hard to would be for her, because to be dumped be her family, the ones who are supposed to love you no matter what.

Jess couldn’t get anything important out of Erin, least of all she didn’t manage to find out just who her dad really was.

Oh and I wonder who's getting the blame for that one

Just Let Me Interupt Your Three's Talking For An Update!

Jess decided to leave Erin for a while and get her head together, she was only little, five and half years old, and so much had happened to her in such a short amount of hours.

“Just keep checking on her okay?”, Jess asked Lois.

And so the day went on and before long, Erin was properly one of the group, and fitted in perfectly. She became close to Crystal, who was only a few months older and also Ellie, Molly and Tia. Everyone really. Jess retired to her office at six that night, leaving Lois and Ashton to put the kids in bed, or supervise them.

Jess closed her eyes and rested her head on the desk. It was only when she heard Cady cry that she realised that she had been asleep for 3 hours.

Jess got up and went to find Cady and then proceeded to check the other children, all of which were on their room’s. She said goodnight to all of them and then checked on Erin last, to make sure she was okay and then put Cady to bed, waited till she fell asleep and then went into her own room and promptly fell asleep.

And so the days went on, and Erin resumed at the care home. It became a very tough week for Jess. Jamie, who Jess was still very close to, dropped by on the Wednesday, tear stained and inconsolable. It turned out Lily had taken a turn for the worst.

Jess sat Jamie down in her room, and gently rocked Cady in her arms. Downstairs she could hear all the other kids playing around and directly above her quiet classical music was playing and straight away she knew it was Lottie.

“I’ll be back in a minute”, Jess whispered, and carrying Cady in her arms, she crept up the stairs onto the top floor. She stood outside Lottie’s room and poked her head in the door. The miniature girl of only seven years old was dressed in her plum ballet leotard and skirt, her satin shoes tied delicately on her feet and her hair scraped up in a neat bun. Lottie’s pale brown skin, glistened as the sun beamed down on her through the window, and her hazel eyes flicked up as she realised Jess was there.

“You okay, Lottie?”

The little girl nodded and smiled a very small smile. Jess nodded and pulled her door to, then went back to her room, where Jamie stood at the window, aimlessly gazing out.
