Jess opened the door to her daughters bedroom tentatively. She crept in and kneeled next to her daughters bed. She nudged the body that was under the covers and gently nudged her.

Jess: Amy
Amy: ummmm
Jess: Get up now
Amy: Five more minutes
Jess: No you have to have your breakfast and get ready for ballet class.
Amy: Mummy, ballet is just a way to get me out the house while you and daddy kiss!
Jess: That is not true! Now get up or i'll tickle you!
Amy: I'm up
Jess: Just coz you are awake doesn't mean you are up.

Jess started to tickle her five-year old daughter. Amy squeled in delight.

Amy: NO Mummy please don't i'll be good.

Jess thought she saw something on her daughters back. She peered closely.

Jess: You aren't going to ballet class or school for at least two weeks!
Amy: Why Mummy?
Jess: You have chicken pox.
Kris: Has my baby got chicken pox.
Amy: Yeah Daddy and i will have two weeks off school!
Kris: Well you better stay away from your mummy or the baby'll get sick.
Amy: No cuddles?
Kris: You can have them off me
Amy: Your chin is too bristley!
Kris: Oi madam!

Kris ran out and grabbed his shaving kit. Amy ran in and laughed.

Kris: What you laughing at!
Amy: It'll just grow back!

Kris: Thanks for waking me up! I was having a lie-in!
Jess: It's half past one!
Kris: Oh god we have to take Amy to Zoe's!
Jess: Have you only just realised!
Kris: Sorry
Jess: Then you have to come home and we have to go to the hospital for the scan!
Kris: Im on it!

Kris ran into the living room and scooped up Amy. She startedd screaming.

Amy: Daddy you're hurting my spots.
Kris: Oh...sorry. Time to go to Zoe's
Amy: Yay. Is the baby gonna be here when i get back?
Kris: No honey but it will be very soon!
Amy: That baby is sure lazy!
Kris: Time to go

Kris carefully carried Amy down to the car., strapped her in and started to drive. They went past lots of places.

Amy: Thats my favoritest school Daddy.
Kris: Is it really
Amy: Yeah and that thing over there is the bench where me and sophie play.
Kris: Thats nice.
Amy: Daddy are you listening?
Kris: Very nice Amy
Amy: You aren't listening. What are you thinking about.
Kris: The baby
Amy: Is it going to be alright
Kris: Of course!

Kris stopped and got Amy out of the car and kissed her on the head. He walked up the path and rung the doorbell.

Kris: Sorry about the chickenpox!
Zoe: Its O.K

Kris ran out the door and ran to the car. He got in and drove back to the flat. He was late!

Kris saw Jess sat on the stairs looking fed-up. She saw Kris running out of his car and she got up ran over and hit him on the arm.

Kris: What the hell was that for.
Jes: We've missed the appointment and the next booking is next week. Now we will have to wait ages.
Kris: it's only a week!
Jess: anything could happen in a week
Kris: Why do you always have a go at me. It is hard having a child and another on the way at 24 you know!
Jess: You know it is hard to be pregnant at the moment Kris!
Kris: Well i'm sorry for that.
Jess: Whatever.

Kris sat down on the step as Jess wlaked up to the flat. Why was everything so difficult? Jess rang Zoe and told her to come over with Amy. Amy ran up the steps and hugged her Daddy.

Amy: Why you sat here Daddy?
Kris: I need to think
Amy: Can i sit here?
Kris: No Amy
Amy: Why Daddy?
Kris: I Need To Think!
Amy: Fine!

Amy ran off crying. He called after her but she didn't listen.

Jess's POV

Amy ran in crying and ran straight to her room. Kris ran in 5 minutes later but Amy had locked her door.

Kris: Amy let me in!
Amy: NO!
Kris: Why?
Amy: because you shouted at me!

Amy's POV

All of this screaming is making me feel dizzy. I better lie down on the floor. Wait no! Not the floor the bed. I can't move. Why is the room spinning ? I want to scream but i can't! Why am i falling?!? My eyes won't open and i feel sick.

Kris's POV

I thought i heard a thump and i barge in to find Amy unconsious on the floor. Why does everything happen to me!

Amy picked up his dugheter and carried her to the car. Jess heard the car start and ran out screaming at Kris. Kris stopped the car and got out asking what was wrong.

Jess: Whats happening?!?
Kris: She's unconsious
Jess: Lemme come!
Kris: Quick!

They got to the hospital 10 minutes later as the traffic wasn't bad. They got there and ran into the reception. Soon enough Amy was carted off for tests. The doctors came back with Amy an hour later.

Jess: Whats happening!
Kris: Please tell us
Doctor: When we were doing some tests we found that there was an inflamation in the appendix and we had to remove it.
Jess: Can we see her?
Doctor: Yes but she may still be a bt groggy from the anestethic.
Kris: Thank you so much.
Jess: When can she come home.
Doctor: In about three days.
Kris: While we are here could you do a check-up on my wife please. We missed our 12 week scan this morning.
Doctor: Sure come this way.

They went in for the scan. The baby was fine and when they returned to there daughters bed she was wide awake but crying.

Kris: Whats the matter hun?
Amy: .....
Jess: Sweetie?
Amy: I don't want Daddy
Jess: Why?
Amy: He shouted at me because i wanted to sit next to him
Amy burst into flood of tears again. Jess gave Kris a sympathetic but stern look but also understanding. She cuddled up to her daughter.
Kris: I'm sorry Amy. I was upset.
Amy: It wasn't me was it?
Kris: Of course not. Do you forgive me?
Amy: yes
Jess: We have some good news.
Amy: What??
Jess: The baby's fine!
Amy: Yay!
