Chapter thirty nine


Kris, Jess and Zak

“You’re moving to Spain!” Zak exclaimed. Kris and Jess were making their way around the group the next morning to tell them their news.
“I have to work out my notice at the radio station but I will be leaving after that.” Kris watched his best friend struggle to find something positive to say and grinned. “There’s a spare bedroom if you want it.” Zak’s face suddenly lit up.
“Are you serious?”
“I was never going to make Kris leave you behind,” Jess commented.
“In that case, congratulations.” He hugged the both of them before sitting back down slightly embarrassed.
“We have one condition if you want to live with us,” Kris stated. Zak nodded for him to continue.
“Go and talk to Zoe,” Jess finished. After making sure that he agreed, the pair made their way to find her themselves.


Kris, Jess and Zoe

“I told you that he just needed time to come around to the idea,” Zoe beamed a few minutes later.
“You’re so smart,” Jess smiled at her.
“I know.” She laughed and hugged the pair tightly.
“You’re not smart enough to go and sort things out with Zak though,” Kris cut in as they pulled apart.
“He knows where I am,” Zoe stated. She watched them both roll their eyes at her.
“You’ve spent enough time sorting us out Zo. You can concentrate on yourself now,” Jess told her. Kris nodded encouraging behind.
“Fine, I’ll go and find him. Try not to argue whilst I’m gone.” With that, Zoe left the hotel room in search of Zak.
“Two down, three to go.” Jess wrapped her arms around Kris kissed him quickly.
“Lets go and find the rest then Princess. The sooner we do it, the sooner we can have more time to ourselves.” He winked before dragging her out of the room.


Jess, Elliot and Steph


“I’m so pleased for you two,” Steph shrieked. “Can I?” She gently placed her hand on Jess’s stomach.
“I still can’t believe that there’s a baby growing in there either,” Jess smiled softly.
“Don’t get any ideas,” Elliot instructed Steph. His wife just tutted in response. “So where’s Kris gone?”
“He wanted to find Gilly by himself.”
“To gloat probably,” Steph stated. Jess shook her head.
“They’re fine now. He just wants to show that the past really no longer matters.”
“I’ll second that idea,” Elliot commented.
“I think we all will,” Steph agreed.

Aww yay i'm glad they are all happy for Kris and Jess, I hope it goes well between Kris and Gilly
I hope Zoe and Zak sort things out too

Gilly

"Is everything ok?"
"Yeah," Gilly replied as Kris and Jess left. "They just had some news to share. We're old friends."
"Good news I take it."
"They're having a baby together." He was stood talking to the girl that he had met a few days ago.
"That's sweet." Gilly nodded in agreement. "So you're going home soon?"
"Yes."
"That's a shame," the girl smiled. He found himself smiling nervously back. For the first time in years, he actually liked someone that wasn't Jess and needed to take action.
"Would like to go out tonight?" Gilly quickly asked.
"I'd love to." His nervous smile turned into a huge grin.
"Great. I'll meet you in the bar at 7." He kissed the girl's cheek and watched her walk away. It felt good to be going on a date again after so long.

Fab Tash, I haven't been commenting much really but I am reading. lol. I love it, can't wait to read the next part and I'd definately love to read a sequel to see how everyone is getting on.
