Hey, guys. This is the sequel to When A Brother Comes To Stay... you just need to read the ending of it to know whats happening in the first half of the story. But who cares? If you don't read it I'm sure you can catch on.

After Kris and Jess just decided to be friends they just generally talked. Whenever the gang wanted to go for a drink, they accepted and had as much fun as they could. But Jess still had the hots for the cross dresser. She didn't tell nobody of course. Well last time she told Zoe... and that all ended up in disaster.
She ended up sleeping with Kris' brother, Malachy. She fell for his sweet act and believed the lies he told her about Kris. But the truth was, he still liked her.
Sadly Jess had got the idea after Kris deciding for them to just be friends, he had totally gone off her. Another feeling was that he had forgotten the time they slept with eachother. So she decided to try and forget that. But could she?

On the other hand Kris felt the total same. As soon as they walked away from eachother he regretted asking her for them to be friends. Not as if he could tell anyone his feelings. He obviously couldn't tell Jess... he thinks by her agreeing she probably fancies someone else and glad that their just friends.

They went to the SU Bar one night. Kris and Jess sat opposite eachother on the purple couches.

Zoe: Will, get the drinks.

Will: No, you.

Zoe: You.

Will: You!

Will and Zoe kissed. At the same time Kris and Jess looked away. They hated the feeling of them two not doing that once again.

So Jess tried to forget and move on. The next day after the SU trip she was lying on the couch, flicking through the channels as Kris walked in with a basket full of Drive n Buy shopping.

Kris: Are you ill?

Jess: No, just bored.

Kris: Great, now you can cook the Sunday dinner.

Kris threw a little pack of steak and kidney pie at Jess. As she caught it she threw it back.

Jess: Thats horrible!

Kris: Fine then, cook it yourself. We're not cooking your food.

Jess: (Gets up with a groan) Fine, I'll have that.

Kris: (Passes the steak and kidney pie to Jess) Fantastic. See you in half an hour.

As he walks off she turns around to watch him go to his room.

Jess: You're leaving me to do this on my own?!

Kris: This is a wild guess... yep.

He went into his room while Jess stood blankly confused. She looked around the kitchen, not having a clue what to do.

Half an hour later Jess shouts everyone. She waits, but only Kris comes out.

Jess: Where are Zoe, Will and Zak?

Kris: Dunno.

A phone then beeps. They check their mobiles. Both of them recieved texts.

Kris: I got one from Will and Zoe... they've gone shopping and having their tea out.

Jess: Mine's from Zak, he's at a football match.

Kris: I guess we're dining alone then.

Jess smiled, so did Kris. Being friends was VERY hard for them. Maybe this was their chance to be more than friends?

Jess: (Goes over to the oven while Kris sits down on a chair by the table) I shouldn't tell him I like him. He made the decision for us to just be friends, its way too obvious he just wants to be friends, nothing else.

Kris: Just be normal. She doesn't like me no more. Then she wouldn't of agreed. Just act like her friend, which I am.

Kris waited for Jess to serve the meal. She gave Kris some of the steak and kidney pie and mash and roasties. He smiled at it and tucked in. Then she sat. She was very proud of herself for making the meal.
For five minutes they had been eating in utter most silence. She died to speak, but let him to speak. But he didn't want to speak until she spoke.

Kris: Tasty.

Jess: (Beams) Thanks!

Kris: Proud of yourself for it?

Jess: (Laughs) Nothing I would usually do and its got so successful, then yeah.

Kris: If I get food poisoning....

Jess then squeals. The thought never came into her head. Then she began worrying in case she had given herself and Kris food poisining.

Kris: Jess, I was joking.

Jess: (Sighs a sigh of relief) Thank God.

They laugh. Kris laughs a bit more at Jess' stupidity, then he realises, he's having a lot of fun.

After the meal when Kris leant back on his chair, then suddenly fell backwards. Jess' mouth fell open and she tried not to laugh, but didn't suceed. She went over to help him up.

Jess: (Puts out her hand) You idiot.

Kris: (Puts his hand in Jess' and lets her pull him up) Thanks.

Jess: Desert?

Kris: I wanna magnum.

Jess: (Walks over to the freezers and opens it) I don't think we have any.

Kris: Sponge cake?

Jess: Here's a white magnum, but thats it.

Kris: Ok, I'll have the magnum white then.

Jess pulls the magnum white out of the freezer and puts it on the counter. She shuts the freezer door and looks in the fridge.

Kris: What are you having?

Jess: Profiteroles and cream.

Kris: Oooh la la. I'll have some.

Jess: Err, no, you won't.

Kris: Err, yes, I will.

They both laugh.
