There is no huge demand for it, BB has been going steadily downhill for years and all the seriously stupid arguements for it in the world won't make a difference..

These forums are just a small percentage of people who watch BB, but the majority are "spouting on" about lack of streaming. So surely that translates into the majority of BB fans?

As for the cost - It used to be streamed by Real (Real Media, or whatever they're called) so wouldn't they deal with support and admin? I don't see that it requires much support and admit anyway, although I admit I'm no expert on the subject. Channel 4 just have to let Real Media have one stream of data, then surely it's up to them to stream it to people and deal with any expenses.

No, you are correct that Channel 4 are not a charity - But we used to pay Real Media for the stream and many people have said that they're willing to pay more for it if neccesary.

At least we agree that BB has been going downhill for years. I hope in future that someone else gets it so they can do it properly.

C4 - you say it's not 'technically feasible' to implement the streaming in your new video player. Give me a break! So the super-duper new technology is less functionaly rich than the old player? I'm sorry, but you don't need to be technical to see through that one. If new was less good than old - why upgrade????

If you had specified support for streaming as requirement in the beginning your vendor would have delivered it. If they couldn't, you'd have selected another technical solution that could. Be honest - it wasn't on the roadmap at all, was it?

Since you've already invested in the design and infrastucture for previous season's streaming service, what's stopping you reimplmenting that as-is for this season?

Just be honest with us and admit it wasn't a priority on your feature list, rather than make weak excuses about the boffins not being able to deliver it.

As already said give us a break ! Funny how every other BB edition in western europe, Australia and USA etc can have some form of streaming yet CH4 Cant ?

Last year, I paid for online streaming for the first time ever. I was prepared to do the same thing this year, to find it had been taken away. Really disappointed, especially as I don't have Sky or Virgin.
