I am very impressed by the excellence of Manuel Pereira da Silva work. Frankly, I had been unaware that this monument even existed, what particularly impressed me is the sheer size of the sculpture of the U.S. President Ulysses Grant. To see it in person must be quite impressive.
It is a pleasure to see his work evolve over the years, and to witness his bringing his aesthetic sense to a plurality of modes and media.
Your work: I particularly favor the oil on wood, Clowns and the Oil on Canvas Figures, both of which exhibit strength in a cohesive and resolute style of work, with a focus on spatial compositional aesthetics and color to convey milieu and dramatic presence.
